I have no complaints at all about our three day stay here. We arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon and they let us into our room immediately. We stayed in the new Tuscan Tower and it was gorgeous. It was extremely clean, the bed was so comfortable you could melt into it, the bathroom was enormous with a jetted tub, seperate shower, flat screen on the wall and vanity. It was truly one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in, especially for the price. Like other reviewers have said, it is spread out and everything is quite a walk. We just used the bell desk to bring our luggage, which made it much better.. I couldn't imagine lugging our stuff all the way into the tower. It's worth a few dollars for someone else to do it. A few downfalls... the view from our room was a ghetto apartment complex; the pools (there are 2 open now) are always packed and surrounded by buildings, so there really isn't any sun; the ventilation from the smoky casino is terrible. We ate at Romanza, the Italian place. Neither of us cared for it. The atmosphere seems to be what you pay for, it was very nice. But the food was a rip off. It was expensive for what you got. We each got pasta that was terribly over cooked and in mediocre sauces. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was a $10 dinner, not worth the $70 we paid. We spent an evening in the fireside lounge, which was wonderful. It is the best bar in the place, quiet and romantic. We did not gamble at this hotel, so I cannot say anything for it. Overall, I would recommend this place to almost anyone.

My boyfriend and I booked two nights in the Tuscany Tower. The room was beautiful, large (about 550 sq. ft.) and the bathroom was great also very large with a walk in shower, spa style tub and a flat screen TV on the wall. The hotel's casino wasn't quite as disirable and we only ate at one of the restuarants at about 1am in the morning so the food wasn't that great. However there is a beautiful bar in the new portion of the hotel which was great and I've heard from friends that there is a sea food restaurant and an Italian restaurant that are fantastic. Beware that this hotel is a cab drive away from the main strip. With my boyfrined and I being 25 and 26 I would probably stay somewhere on the strip next trip to Reno, but I know that none of the rooms at any of the hotels there will compare. All in all it was a great experience at the new Tuscany Tower at Peppermill.

Rude, Dumb, and overcharged my card

The room itself was gorgeous, however that was the only good thing I can say about this place. They charged my card twice for the room, so I got multiple overdraft fee's and when I accused them of doing so, they told me its not a big deal, the second charge will disappear.. Well thats all great except for that I had to borrow money from a friend to get home because the double charge made it so I couldn't even pump gas.
They also charged me for about 15 drinks from the mini fridge because one of the levers was stuck and they charge according to how many times you open it, not how much you actually take. When this was brought up at time of check out , it took over half hour of yelling with the young girl at the counter, asking for a manager... and as soon as the manager was asked for, the charges were reversed. Never saw that manager though. Until on the casino floor on the way out the door. When on the way out the door, was stared down by the manger on duty. I asked him if there was a problem and he just smiled asking me how I was doing. And continued to stare me down until I exited the building. Maybe he was the one who walked in on me and my girlfriend getting it on in the middle of the night. Shouldn't managers even have to knock? Apparently here they don't.

We stayed one night at the Peppermill in May 2008 on our way to San Francisco. We won this property on a Priceline bid for $45.00 plus fees. When we finally found our way from the parking ramp to the hotel, the check-in queue snaked completely around the lobby. The self-check in kiosk was broken. We waited almost an hour to get to the front desk. It was so bad that the staff was handing out bottles of water to the people in line! When we finally got to the desk, we were told we must pay a $5.60 “resort fee” on top of what was already paid through Priceline. OK, whatever. A resort without even a pool.... hmmmm....
They are renovating this place, and the construction noise could be heard from all over the property, but at least it was quiet at night. Our non-smoking room was on the 9th floor, and was just a small-to-average room with average amenities. We didn’t expect the Tuscan tower for what we paid. A king room was not available, so we had 2 double beds. It seemed clean enough. No coffee was available the next morning except for purchase in the coffee kiosk, and it was only OK, and pretty expensive.
The resort is immense, and it takes a long time to get anywhere. For instance, the elevator that takes you downstairs from your room is not the same elevator to take you to the parking garage. You must go down to the casino floor, then take the escalator back up to the parking garage level, then across the walkway to the parking garage. It would be very easy to get hopelessly lost here! The casino was smoky, as they all are. We didn’t eat here, but walked down the street for a bite.
There was a $10.00 / day charge to connect to the wireless internet, so we didn’t use it.
I would only recommend this resort to someone who is coming to gamble. For us, it was only a reasonably priced stop-over, so it was fine.
We also went to the National Automobile Museum, which was fascinating. It has a lot of Harrah’s old car collection, and we spent a couple of enjoyable hours wandering around.

My stay was over the June 28th weekend. Room 80407 (Smoking) Here's the Pro's and Con's:
Pro's:
Check in was very quick and we got our room 1 hour early.
The Tuscany Room has nice warm tones.
Bed soft, nice sheets, great pillows.
Nice toiletries.
The jet tub is fabulous. You can take a bath and watch TV.
The shower is a double head. Shower area has a little place to sit.
Also like the nice chair that you can sit down and apply makeup in the bathroom.
Bathrobes are in the closet. Nice to lounge around in them.
View okay only because all you can see is the construction going on.
Checkout is super easy when using the TV Guest services
Biscotti's has excellent food.
Love the sports deli
Con's:
Only one pool and there were not enough chairs.
Spa not open yet.
Hate the service charge that they attach per night.
Need more selection of slot machines.
