The hotel is in a great area for viewing studios and going to hollywood. It is on a farely busy street and we were located over that street. The doors are not sound proof nor the windows and heard cars and people talking most of the night. Otherwise the hotel was great the room was small, but really clean and nice! They have a huge screen TV and very nice food. Ask to not be located over the street. They also upgraded us to a deluxe room but I dont know what a normal room would be like because this room was already farely small. Overall stay here!

Just to let everyone know, this hotel does not necessarily honor your confirmed reservation. I showed up earlier this week for my stay and the desk clerk informed me that a number of guests had decided to stay over and so they were "walking" some guests like me despite confirmed reservations. The clerk said it was the general manager's policy and he does this regularly because it results in higher occupancy. The driver said that the employees hate this policy since they have to bear the brunt of the disappointment. Anyway, this hotel may choose not to honor your reservation and you could end up like me getting a ride to the Burbank Airport Marriot. So be aware when you book that its a one way deal: if you cancel they charge your credit card, if they want to make a change they send you to the Marriot.

I have stayed at this hotel for years. Over the past two months I have stayed twice, one week each. The service and attitude have really gone down hill. I asked to speak with the Manager and was told he was on a sales call with his sales person, never heard from anyone. I will be in Burbank next week and have asked my company to book me at another hotel. Everything from check in, room service, and housekeeping is no better then a Holiday Inn and this is not an inexpensive hotel.I will miss Harvey and Norm in the bar, however I can still stop in for a drink.

This hotel was a surprising gem in Burbank. It is not in the best area you would expect for a boutique hotel: located in a lower-middle class but safe-looking neighborhood. It is right down the street from some film studios, and is in a very central location for places like Universal Studios, Glendale, and Hollywood. If you want to go someplace nice to eat, you will have to drive, there is no convenient mass transit nearby.
The room I had was furnished in a similar style to a Four Seasons hotel room, with a long dresser and work table along one wall and a flat panel TV on top. It also had nice amenities, very luxurious robes, a frig, a nice counter for the coffee machine, good lighting, lots of dimmable lamps, and a large bathroom.
Probably the most interesting thing about the room were the little sensual decorating touches that you might associate with Hollywood or Las Vegas. The artful black & white photos on the wall, which I thought were hillsides, turned out to be people's backsides (very tastefully done). A huge mirror alongside the bed. A strange upholstered thing on the wall with a short straight rod sticking out of the top of it, which at first I thought was an odd clothes hook, and then I decided must instead be for some kind of bondage adventure.
As the Oct-2007 reviewer complained, there is only pricey valet parking available, and the parking attendants as of Jan-2008 are still not very attentive or responsive. E.g., I called ahead for the car but no one brought it out front until I showed up in the lobby. Offering to take my luggage in/out of the hotel was an afterthought.
Despite the parking problem, an excellent hotel.

nice Hotel, not so great service

This was a nice boutique hotel. Really quaint. Would have been fantastic but for the not so great service. you do not have a self park option at this hotel, you must use valet which costs $24 per day. Was frustrated a few times when there was no one there to valet the car. No one helped (or offered to help) take my bags to the room. One day the hot water didnt work (they did provide 25% rebate for the inconvenience). I stayed in their deluxe suite which I thought was nice but maybe cost too much relative to value.
