Stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed York. The hotel is a little dated but clean and very well positioned. Food in restaurant very good value for the money. Staff friendly . Lots to see and do in York unfortunately the weather was terrible.

Stayed here for 2 nights and was more then happy with the hotel, it is true to say the decor is a bit stuck in the middle 1980s and the liberal use of plastic flowers my not be to everyones taste. However the rooms are spacious and well equipped, my room overlooked a lovely little garden on the first floor, no complaints at all with the room, the furniture is not brand new but in perfectly reasonable condition, the rooms are clean and cozy, what more do you want for a few days away ? Had breakfast two mornings running, it was excellent on both days. Found the staff friendly and knowledgeable on the local area. Loved the location, easy to walk to the local attractions while having somewhere peaceful to return to in the evenings.

I booked a triple room here for 3 mature ladies. When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded into one of the cottages. This large room was absolutely delightful. It included a double bed & 2 singles, a nice modern bathroom & plenty of room for all 3 of us to sit around & watch TV. It was very quiet & very comfortable on ground level so that it was easy to get our suitcases in. The brekky was yummy (although the coffee was quite tepid, even after I asked for a fresh pot!). If you are lucky enough to get the cottage - go for it!! Thoroughly recommended.

This is a terrible hotel with horrendous platic flowers all over, incl. in the rooms and bathrooms. The furniture is very old and dirty, the bed was old, too soft and very unconfortable.

me and my two friends went to this hotel they gave us a nice room with three beds which were comfortable.room spacious clean should be a 3 star.food okay good value for money?use the leisure facilities. would recommend this hotel very central walking distant to all attractions in york.would definitely go again.
