Just had to write a review because I thought Hotel Relish was amazing. My Boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights and had a fab weekend thanks to Sarah, she helped us with where to go for dinner, where to go for a walk...everything, and nothing was any trouble for all the staff. Felt very relaxed the whole weekend and wished we could have stayed longer. Thought the cake everyday was gorgeous and such a nice idea to have a glass of wine or beer for the guests - really different. Room was lovely, felt like no-one had ever been there before!
Would recommend to everyone!

WOW! This hotel has it just right! Fantastic location and the hotel itself is fabulous, full of character and charm. We stayed in the Park room. There is as much wine, beer, tea/coffee and homemade cake as you want! We settled into our room straight away and in fact we didn't want to leave, so we asked if we could order a take away to our room and we ordered a couple of DVDs from the hotel's DVD library. Nothing was a problem. The shower was wonderful with Aveda toiletries. The breakfast was also good with homemade bread. I couldn't fault anything apart from the price, it was a bit top heavy but then if you have ever stayed in Folkestone, you definately get what you pay for. Folkestone is very thin on the ground for good quality hotels, in fact there aren't any, so thank God for The Hotel Relish.

This really was a lovely hotel with very considerate and friendly staff.
The location is really good for those who are staying in the town or using this as a jump off for the continent. The local restaurant recommendations were solid.
The room was very good; the rain shower was a nice touch.
My other half was up and out before they started breakfast so he was given a takeaway one, another nice touch.
A very relaxed atmosphere, all credit to the owners.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Saturday night just for the one night, although we wished we stayed two! We were seeing a concert at the Leas Cliff Hall which is quite literally within five minutes walk of The Relish.
Upon arrival, we managed to get parked with no problems. Checked in and were given a tour of the place. We could help ourselves to tea, coffee, home-made cake, juice and wine. Result! Downstairs area has a communal lounge which looks fairly relaxed, although perhaps a little sparce. There was a seperate area for breakfast in the morning.
We were staying in Park Room, which is up two flights of stairs. Bit of a treck each time you wanted to pop down for a drink as there are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. The Park room is lovely though. Modern, fresh-looking, nice sheets, flat-screen TV and sash windows which overlook a well-kept park. There was a good-quality looking hairdryer, although unfortunately ours didn't work. Bathroom is small, there is no bath, but there is a rain-style shower which was very refreshing.
We were given our own key, so if you get back late you can let yourselves in. Slept soundly, although perhaps a little too warm! Breakfast is served until ten, and they offer a full-english and contintental and nothing seems too much trouble for them. Would have been a nice touch to have had some Sunday newspapers in, other than the local paper but that's just a suggestion.
Folkestone itself has some very pretty little lanes and quite a few shops. The beachfront is lovely if you get good weather, which we did. Before we checked out, The Relish recommended a lovely seafood restaurant in Hythe and even booked a table for us.
We paid ?100 for our stay, which I think is fairly reasonable for what you get. Although you could certainly have stayed in Folkestone for a lot cheaper than that. All in all, a very lovely time. They seem to have thought of everything and if we are ever back in Folkestone, we're pretty sure we'd stay here again.
