This is a great hotel - clean, modern yet with a lot of character on the facade and in the restaurant, helpful staff with great English, fabulous breakfast, lovely sauna.....and all of this just a 5 - 10 minute walk from the very centre of Helsinki! Would absolutely stay there again.

Stayed for one night.
The location is average - all hotels on the main peninsular are not far from the centre so you cant go far wrong, but it was slightly further out than most hotels.
The check in was friendly, but a bit unorganised, also the receptionist didnt seem particularly knowledgable as when I enquired about ferries to Tallinn she couldnt give me any information.
The room was small, with narrow beds (is this a scandanavian thing?), but clean.
Breakfast was of very good quality, but also with a very limited choice. They call it a Cellar - I would call it more a basement garage with rough cast plaster and whitewashed walls. Also noticeable was the music (New age mellow 'earthy sounding') Strange.
I would like to give it more because this hotel is a bit different, from the mock castle effect (look out for the stone rabbit detail at the top of the columns) to the new age music. I just dont feel it deserves anything more than a average rating, especially because of the price we paid, which was over the top even by Scandanavian standards.
