What a lovely Hotel stayed here after Easter 2007, the weather was quite nice. Clean and Modern Hotel, Breakfast was good and fresh in a nice modern breakfast room. Reception staff very helpfull and friendly, bar prices much the same as outside the hotel including the mini bar, which was a godsend. Shower was amazing the biggest I have ever seen and you can can hear the TV whilst you shower. Room was large and spacious and a very modern deisign, white duvet cover etc. TV, Iron and safe in the room. Only 10 mins walk from catherdral, very good location, not far from River Rhine, which is a nice walk into the centre. Very nice stay, would stay again.

Keine Kritik, alles perfekt, pico bello... grande.. Sehr gute Betten, wichtig, keine stickige Luft im gesamten Hotel, Kompliment, den Innenarchitekten, sehr gut geplant und ausgeführt! Ehepaar 52 und 57 Jahre.

Encouraged by all the enthusiastic reviews we booked this hotel for a weekend trip. It was quite a disappointing experience. The fancy website gives the idea of a trendy though chic hotel. Well, the website is much better than reality. Although there is some design inside, it all looks very cheap. The exterior and the street are very unattractive. When you enter the hotel you just step into the bar, where people are smoking and drinking; not a very welcoming view. The furniture in the bedroom looks like it has been bought by IKEA. The double beds actually exist of two single beds (not only two matrasses, but two beds!!), which makes it impossible to sleep nicely together, because the beds just slip apart. We booked a 'de luxe' room, which was 135 euro per night. I am still wondering wat exactly was the de luxe part of the room... Breakfast was another disappointment. It is not that extensive and quality is not great. It's okay, but I had expected more of it. On the second morning all seats were taken. The waitress then pointed at a cramped place along a long table, just in between four other eating people. Meanwhile other people were smoking in the breakfast place... The bathroom however is a bright spot in this story. It has nice little mosaic tiles and is really clean. And staff is friendly. I must say I'm surprised by all the lyrical reviews. It is quite an expensive hotel and it's not worth it. We've stayed in many hotels throughout Europe. We would say for such an amount of money one could get better. I would not return to this place. I will return to Cologne (it's a heaven for shopaholics!) but then I'll seek refuge in another nice hotel...

Schickes kleines Design Hotel im Zentrum von Köln, zu Fuß ca. 10 min zum Bahnhof/Dom. Ruhig gelegen in einer Seitenstraße, mit eigener Garage (13 EUR die Nacht). Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber mit dezenten schlichten Möbeln. Den Design-Faktor würde ich bei Standard einstufen (hier hätte man sicher mehr machen können). Besonders gefallen hat uns aber das sehr große Badezimmer mit Steinfußboden, einer großen Dusche und einem edlen Waschtisch. Im Zimmer waren viele kleine Extras, neben Seife, Duschgel und Bodylotion gab es noch Nähzeug, Schuhputzkit, Abschmink-Sachen und - was ich persönlich immer sehr schätze - Hausschuhe ;) Es gab auch eine Minibar - aber 4,20 EUR für eine Flasche Wasser fand ich dann doch etwas teuer. Weiters verfügte das Zimmer über einen Safe, der aber nur mit Kreditkarte zu verschließen war. Das Frühstück war ganz ausgezeichnet. Es gab am Buffet Wurst, Käse, Früchten, Kuchen, Eier, Süsses, Müsli, Säfte, Tee und am Tisch Thermoskannen Kaffee. Das Ambiete im Frühstücksraum war hell, freundlich und sehr stylisch. Die Mitarbeiter waren kompetent, hilfsbereit und wirklich sehr freundlich. Fazit: Super Hotel mit Stil ohne übertriebenen Luxus, würde jederzeit wieder dort buchen!
