We have just returned from our second stay at the Die Swaene and once again it surpassed our expectations. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are decorated to perfection and everything is catered for. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I spent one night at this very discreet hotel in Brugges. True to all the other reviews, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given room n°76 which is the red room shown in the photographs on the websites. It is situated in the "Period " wing of the hotel. The room was a bit small but all the amenities were of high quality. The bathroom had a huge tub and the shower was like warm rain that you wouldn't want to get out ot! The hairdryer actually dried my thick long hair in minutes.
For those who wish for a long, deep sleep, the bed was soft and luxurious with fluffy pillows and could be used to watch the flat-screen TV that was placed opposite it.
There was a real fireplace in the room and we lit it after we came in from a slightly chilly afternoon walk. It cheered me up instantly. I have actually never before seen a fireplace in a hotel room even in 5 star establishments
The room also overlooked the canals and in the morning we were able to fling open the windows to watch boat-fulls of tourists glide by under our noses!
We dined at the hotel and the food was delicious. Breakfast too was a treat with eggs the way you want them and a big choice of breads and fresh fruit.
I would recommend this hotel particularly for a romantic stay.

Fabulous hotel, both sophisticated and friendly. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the canal which was lovely. Whilst there, we took advantage of the free guided walk of Brugge, offered by the hotel each Monday, which was excellent.
Enjoyed Brugge very much, took a day trip with Quasimodo tours out to Ypres and Flanders’ Fields, very moving experience. Highly recommend Bhavani ( Indian) , Ryad (Moroccan) and Olive Tree (Greek) restaurants.

What a lovely hotel! Very peaceful and yet so near the main square, so peaceful that you thought you were the only ones in the hotel, until breakfast time! Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. A great hotel.

My daughter and I spent three days at this hotel and had a lovely time. The hotel staff were especially charming and helpful, and our room overlooking one of the canals could not have been nicer. We were only a little disappointed not to have been placed in the older part of the hotel - the advantage for us was that everything worked beautifully in our room, and it was very spacious and well-appointed. Breakfast is not to be missed - you will want to bring a book and enjoy a relaxing hour or so in the lovely garden room.
