The Novotel Dinard location and view exceeded our expectations. It was slightly removed from the touristy part of Dinard, which allowed us to have true peace and quiet while still providing direct access to the beach. Our room was large and comfortable with Cable T.V., mini bar/fridge and an incredible ocean view. The hotel's heated sea water pool was amazing and indeed very therapeutic. The Hotel staff was both pleasant and helpful, answering our questions and even providing us with a map of Dinard . We took Rick Steve's advice and spent most of our time in nearby Dinan which we enjoyed tremendously. Our only regret was staying only two nights!

Booked this hotel for a three days stay with my family (2 adults / 2 children 3 and 8). The family rooms are small but functional with not much luggage space. On the plus side get a room on the ground floor and the windows open to a grassed terrace with sun loungers and sea views.
this hotel is great for 2-3 days to take in local sites. It would also be brilliant for a couple wanting to relax, enjoy the spa (very well priced) hotel pool and other relaxation spa's. Overall it's much better value and has many benefits over staying in the small St Malo hotels - partucularly for families or couple with a car.
The hotel is in a quiet village about 10 mins drive from St Malo the nearest large town. There are not many bars and restaurants in the local town so be prepared to drive into St Malo. Or take the 5 min ferry across the bay in summer.
The room service menu is also truly terrible, with awful haute cruisine - useless for a family arriving late and in our case forced us into the local town for a crepe (only place open) not good for an international hotel. Parking is also very tight so be prepared to pay 8 euros for the underground car-park or risk the French parking - so close can't get the doors open.
Overall great hotel, but small rooms, awful room service menu and not great on-site restuarant.
