Stayed twice - each for 1 night on arrival to and before departure from Munich Airport. As I was travelling to/from Eastern Bavaria it was ideal as the train I needed stopped at Freising - saving 25 minutes on my train trip. Hotel rooms were perfectly adequate, clean, well enough furnished but tiny bathroom, and if you got an earlier booking through the hotel website it was quite good value. Value for money is definitely better than hotels in Munich itself. Location is 5-10 min walk from station so OK with wheeled luggage - directly along road outside station so no risk of getting lost. Bus to airport is every 20 minutes. I liked Freising town - 3 mins from hotel and no need to pay overpriced chain hotel breakfast - just go to any one of the cafes in the centre or get a great sausage from one of the market stalls. Next door restaurant which is part of hotel but keeping a very separate identity is good and again good value. I would definitely recommend hotel if you are travelling onwards and north - as good chance of train stopping at Freising, as well as last night stay before flight if you want less rushing around than in central hotel or you want a bit better value. From perspective of visiting Munich properly, Freising is a bit further out than ideal but fast trains are only 25 minutes (not overly frequent) , while SBahn is more like 45 mins. So could be choice if on a budget or lack of available rooms in centre.

Arrived at midnight to a cheery welcome from the staff. Lufthansa use this as a crew hotel, which is often a good sign. Only one pillow in my room, but the staff provided another at 1am within a couple of minutes of my phoning down. Room was clean and pleasant, and breakfast fine. My room didn't have a bath - only a shower - but a colleague's room did have a bath. My only real complaint would be problems with broadband. The hotel information in room said that that modem and wireless access were available, but I discovered that my room was one which didn't have wireless access, and that the only other access from my room was via analogue modem, which doesn't seem acceptable for a hotel for business-people these days. Wireless access was available from the lobby via the (fairly pricey) Vodafone hotspot network, and there was a machine connected to broadband in the lobby. Checkout was easy, even at 4:45am, and coffee and pastries were available. The hotel is 15-20 minutes from Munich (Munchen) airport.

Room good. Double bed is two twins pushed together. Didn't do breakfast because it's rather expensive. Was not able to connect to internet which was modem but got charged for making dial up call attempts. Good restaurant associated.

Schönes Zimmer. Doppelbett waren zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten. Habe dort nicht gefrühstückt, da es recht teuer war. Konnte auch nicht über ein Modem ins Internet kommen, musste aber schon für die Wählversuche zahlen. Es gibt dort ein gutes Restaurant.

Stayed here for a night before taking off from the nearby Munich airport -- a short bus ride away. Hotel is located within a short walk from the train station, which also is where the busses depart for the airport. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Much better than other places we stayed on our trip through the region. At 119 Euros, it was a little more than we spent at other places, but I think it was worth it, and I'd rate it a good value. It also was much less costly than comparable places in Munich. I've had good luck with Novotel in other locations as well. Another plus was the adjacent brew pub. Good food -- great beer, of course! Wish we could have stayed longer. Consider this place if you're looking for somewhere to stay before you fly out of Munich's airport.
