Compared a lot of hotels in the central Moscow area and this one was fairly priced for the 4 star rating compared with others and had consistently good reviews. We are glad we chose it. We stayed here 3 nights.
Hotel was very clean with quiet, spacious rooms. We stayed on the 16th floor with excellent view of the city. Very polite and attentive staff who speak English. Firm but comfortable mattress. Internet access. Good air con, ventilation in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was excellent and replenished often. Hot breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage etc, as well as porridge, rice, a cold buffet with salads, cheeses, fresh fruit (kiwi, pineapple, plums, grapes, apples and oranges), large variety of yogurts with all the toppings, cereals, 4 choices of juice, many variety of tea, coffee, machine that made cappacinos, huge pastry assortment (almond croissants are the best). It filled us up for half the day.
It is convienently next to a metro station. Very close to all the tourist areas.
On our last night, there was a fresh fruit basket, chocolate, pastries and bottled waters waiting for us when we returned to the hotel, which was very nice. It far exceeded my expectations.
I would definitely stay here again!

I've just returned from a weekend in Moscow and stayed at the Novotel after reading the recommendations on trip advisor and would fully recommend to anyone else visiting! As suggested, to avoid any confusion with prices, we booked the Hot Deal through the Accorhotels.com where it’s a set rate with no changes or cancellations so what we paid was exactly the same as the quote on booking.
The location is great, right next to 2 metro stops which is the best way to get about the city. On arrival at Domodedovo airport we were quoted by most taxi drivers about 2000-2500 rubles to the hotel (about ?45), instead we took the express train (which is about 2 minutes walk to the left as you exit the airport) into the centre, it costs about ?3 and takes 45 mins, then onto the Metro for about 2-3 stops to Novoslobodskaya (green line). The Metro is fantastic, spotlessly clean with trains every few minutes, also worth using just to see some of the lovely ornate stations.
The Novotel itself is just what you need for a city break, clean, central, good service and bright airy rooms. Buffet breakfast was included in our deal and was very good. The lobby bar has lovely staff, concierge were helpful and booked us tickets to the Bolshoi.
Be warned about big queues for the main tourist attractions. Get there very early for tickets to the Kremlin and Lenin’s tomb and for tickets to the Armoury? Just be prepared for a ticket system that seems to change every 2 mins – from how you queue to when you can buy the tickets!! We couldn’t buy them at the same time as the Kremlin tickets and after 4 attempts we did manage to get them (but had to buy the Audio tour?!) From what we could understand the Armoury tickets are sold for approx 30 mins, every couple of hours and there is only a limited number. You then have to go straight to the Armoury at your allotted time.
The Irish bar Silvers had reasonable drinks prices too!

We picked this hotel because the price was reasonable for its location in Moscow. Everything in Moscow seemed expensive but this was fairly reasonable. It was right next to two Metro stations making transportation easy and the hotel was still close enough to walk to the Kremlin (about 30 minute walk). The breakfast was included and had everything you would need to fill up for the entire day. Our room was spacious (even for a full size cot for our daughter) and very clean and up to date. We were on a non-smoking floor and there was no smoke smell anywhere on the floor. The hotel was very helpful taking care of getting us our visa paperwork for us and getting a taxi to and from the airport. The were helpful with anything we needed - great customer service! Overall we're very happy we stayed here and would definitely stay again.

We just returned from 10 days in Russia including a three night stay in the Novotel Moscow. We've stayed in other Novotel's in Germany and recieved the same standard of service, cleanliness and centrality as we had expected. We booked directly through the Accor Hotel site and then followed up with the hotel to insure we had a non smoking room - the floor we were assigned was non-smoking. The premium for breakfast was quite steep so we elected to eat externally to the hotel and there were many coffee shops and options within woalking distance. The hotel is right next to the Metro entrance and coming home late at night was not problematic. Most sights (Red Square, Kremlin) were a Metro ride but not far.
The Metros are safe and the hotel has desk staff and security staff posted all night. The only complaint we had was with the heat - we were too warm in our room and controls did not cool it down much especially in the mornings. Our rate was about $300 for the last week in March for a double room which we thought reasonable for its central, in city location.
Desk staff was helpful and spoke English well - helpful with baggage storage for the day we were departing, tour advice and reasonable taxi services.
