This hotel is surprisingly good value for money. I expected a basic budget hotel for the price but this offers more. It's modern, clean, excellent service and has great rooms. The room was well designed with a good layout and was spacious for the central location, had a lovely bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath and there was a separate loo which was a nice touch. Only down side is that it's quite a walk to the nearest tube.

We stayed four nights at the Novotel Waterloo and we are very satisfied with this hotel : the location is excellent, the staff very helpful and everything seems clean and well entertained. Only black spot : breakfast is just too expensive for what it's offered. On the contrary, we had dinner twice in the restaurant and we were pleased with the food - and the choice of wine.

We went on a Bank Holiday weekend. The service on the weekend days for breakfast was terrible. We were asked to eat in the dirty pub which hadn't been cleaned from the night before . The tables in the restaurant weren't being cleared resulting in chaos. On the third day breakfast service was good.
Excellent location near london eye, houses of parliament.

I stayed here for 3 days with my family (parents and 2 brothers) in July 2006. First impressions of the hotel are very good, the staff are all very friendly and the foyer is very modern and clean. It is in a fantastic location; 10 mins walk from the South Bank (London Eye etc....) and about 15 mins from the nearest tube station. If you want to sightsee London, this is the hotel for you.
Our room was very clean and the sheets were changed everyday! The bathroom was good too, with a good shower which is always the hit/miss zone with hotels.
We were staying there right at the peak of the heatwave (36C one day) in London and thankfully our room was air conditioned. There was a continual stream of cold air, albeit uncontrollable and not exactly powerful coming from a vent in the room which really made life more comfortable. The beds were comfortable and facilities all very good.
Breakfast is very good with lots on offer in the buffet from toast, cereals etc... to a fully cooked selection. The bar isn't too bad with your average bar food but you'd be better eating out.
Overall, this is a great hotel if a little expensive but you won't get much better for the price in Central London.
