Stayed at this hotel for a one day stopover last year. After an interesting 25 minute taxi ride from the airport hotel staff were welcoming and our room pleasant, clean and spacious. Our favourite feature was the pool, which is in a lovely setting and in good condition: very quiet and relaxing indeed! The hotel's bufet restaurant was brilliant curteous staff and wonderful food (a bit of everything from European to Japanese and Thai cuisine - great prices too! As the hotel does not have day rooms, we were advised we would have to pay for two nights there, however, upon checkout were charged for one night only (were were there from 7am-9pm). Very pleasant surprise! Highly recommended for a stopover or the business traveller!

Das Novotel Bangna ist ein typisches Business-Hotel, das ca. 30 Minuten vom Flughafen entfernt liegt. Die Taxifahrt hat uns ca. 200 Baht pro Strecke gekostet. Somit bietet sich das Hotel als Zwischenstopunterkunft an, wenn man nicht im viel teureren Flughafenhotel bleiben möchte. Die Zimmer im Bangna sind entsprechend den europäischen Standards ausgestattet. Man muss auf nichts verzichten. Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer mit zwei großen Betten, was für uns drei (2 Erwachsene mit Kind) absolut ausreichte. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das einzige Manko war die extrem laute Toilettenspülung, die nachts recht störend sein kann. Leider hört man auch die Spülung anderer Zimmer. Das Hotel bietet auch einen Außenpool, was wir sehr erfrischend fanden. In unserer Buchung war das Frühstück inbegriffen, was wir sehr genossen haben. Das Buffet war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Damit startet man wirklich satt in den Tag. Auch das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Aber man befindet sich halt in einem sehr großen Hotel, wodurch keine Atmosphäre entsteht. Aus diesem Grund und aufgrund der Lage (schlechte Anbindung an die Innenstadt) würden wir das Hotel nicht für einen touristischen Besuch Bangkoks empfehlen. Da gibt es für alle Ansprüche bessere Alternativen in der Stadt.

20 - 30 mins in a taxi from the airport. Only half the price as the new novetel right next to the airport so if you have 20 mins much better value- Taxi only approx 300 baht. Good functional hotel. Good for stopovers or business. service okay. Breakfast included

Outside tourist area. Great for business,service is good.3 restaurants inside the hotel.5 minutes walk to a very good outside restaurant. 2 shopping center close by. For business travalers it's OK.

Together with my colleague I stayed there for a night on my business trip. The location wasn't that ideal if for holidaying. It's supposed to be near the new Airport , that's the only plus point. On checking in, we were given a welcome drink of cool chrysemthemum tea, which was refreshing given the swealtering heat in April Bangkok. I was given a twin room (2 queen size beds, not sure why) even though I am staying alone. The shower head was good (an important consideration for me after a hard day's work). The minibar are well stocked, even with condoms for sale. The internet charge was ok, ~USD13 for 24hr usage. Though I would have liked the power point to be situated at a more reachable area. I had to literally crawl underneath the desk to plug in and do some contortions, as the power point was hidden behind the backpanel of the desk. There's a central control at bedsize for all lightings, tv, radio, alarm and aircon, which is nice. The lounge was smallish with Filipino singing group.The breakfast was above average with adequate choice. The waitress personally sit me in which was nice (not many hotels do that during breakfast). Overall , a good business hotel if not for the not so ideal location.
