Stayed whilst away on Business in Stevenage & Welwyn Garden City. The Hotel itself is conveniently located just off the A1(M) Stevenage North Junction so it is really easy to find. Plentiful car parking at the hotel. Reception area is rather flash but I waited around 5 minutes to before someone came to check me in. However, the greeting was warm and friendly. Room was very nice, the website pictures do it no justice at all. The bed is a little low down - but I had a brilliant quality of sleep every night. The bathroom is very nice... really like the ceiling mounted speaking which is linked to the room TV - nice touch to have a shower yet listen to music or the news on tv at the same time! Good selection of TV channels also with ability to plug in ipod or other mp3 player externally. Had one meal which was very nice... but extremely expensive. Although the bar is very pleasent to drink in. Overall - I'm happy with what I got for the money - different days were different rates - but I didnt pay anymore than ?79. A nice alternative to Premier Inn

A family member had a combined 50th and 21st Birthday party at this hotel . Most of our family stayed over night so there was quite a few of us with lots of rooms. When we arrived we didnt check in straight away as we needed a drink after a long journey. The pots of tea and coffee's were almost cold so i took them back and we waited ages for a replacement as there was only three staff on. The meal we had was very nice but expensive. our rooms were very clean and modern but when i booked them i was told ?69 with breakfast for a triple room, and checking in i was asked to pay ?79 which i refused to pay. The breakfast on Sunday morning was a bit hit and miss, the staff (being only 4 of them) didn't keep the selection of food topped up so at no point was there a full selection to choose from. We had to ask for tea & coffee to be brought over and when it was the coffee was just hot water so i had to sort it out myself. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and modern but there is a lack of experienced staff, considering they knew how many people would be attending the party plus other guests there wasn't enough staff on so there wasn't the service you should expect from a well run hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel to get away for the evening, the hotel accepts pets & this was perfect for us as we could take our dog. Upon check in the reception staff were friendly and efficient, the reception is decorated very modern. Our room was lovely, with a contempory design, we were on the top floor overlooking the garden and the A1M but suprisingly we didint hear any noise from the road or the function which was in the garden below. The room had a flat screen tv, internet access and a point where one can plug in their mp3 player. The bathroom was nice and clean they provide huge fluffy bath towels. The bed was very comfy. We also ordered room service which was delicious! You could even choose the size of the dish you wanted, a taster, starter or main meal. Very reasonable prices. We felt this hotel is very good value for money we only paid ?54 for the room and ?6 to bring the dog & we would definatly stay again.

Stayed here on business trip. The place was clean and modern. It was easy to find off the A1M and there was enough parking. The bed was lovely, really comfy. I didnt have dinner in the hotel but I did take breakfast which was quite adequate. I didnt find the pool and there is no gym so I ended up taking a run. As Knebworth park was closed this time of year, I ended up dicing with death crossing the motorway junction round about to run round the cycle lanes of Stevenage. So if you want to walk into Stevenage be prepared to cross the slip road to the Motorway - there is no footpath.....

Stayed at the Novotel Stevenage for a wedding back in September. I was going to give this hotel a 4 out of 5 but although it is a good hotel and I cant fault it, I have given other hotels 4 out of 5 which are equal to this hotel but have a lot more facilities (health clubs etc). So I decided on 3/5 but if this hotel had an indoor pool, health club then it would be up to 4/5. The hotel reception/bar areas have recently been refurbished and everything is very modern and trendy. The bar area is very pleasant to drink in (with Sky tv) and it doesn't really feel like you are actually in a hotel, more of a bar which was good. The staff at the hotel were also very good, and even managed to keep us liquidated well in the early hours of the morning when the bar was closed! The rooms were adequatly furnished and were spacious, had no problems or complaints. Breakfast was very good. The full English is buffet-served and you are given huge plates to fill - which I did! Couldn't fault this, and the food was very good too. If you are looking for a stop-over whilst travelling (it's just off the A1 M) or a business hotel in the Stevenage area then this hotel will do the job.
