Stayed here for 2 nights with 3 female friends. Would definitely recommend it to others. Location is very convenient for the centre of Lille and easy to find by car. Staff very polite and pleasant. On the second night it was raining hard so we ate in the Hotel Cafe. Whilst this lacks atmosphere (being a hotel) the food was very good and we could not fault it. We all have widely varying tastes and they were able to please all 4 of us. Breakfast was also of a high standard. Agree with other reviewers that the beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms very good (except for the sewer smells coming up the sink drain) and the separate toilet a very good idea. This was the first time any of us had stayed in a Novotel Hotel but will certainly look for it in the future.

My husband took me to Lille for the weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. It's always a bit worrying knowing which hotel to book when there are many to choose from, but in the end we decided to go for this one. We were not at all disappointed. The bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in and the bathroom was fab - great shower! It was a bonus to have a seperate toilet as well; very sensible design. Our room was very clean and well appointed - we couldn't have wished for anything else, it was all there! The breakfast was buffet-style and there was lots to choose from (the best scrambled eggs!) The staff were very friendly and helpful and always keen to please. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and on arriving found it very odd that on the 6th floor,top floor they had no rooms on the right hand side and walls were pasted over as though there had been.Can anybody enlighten me as to why this is?Also the room itself is a bit odd having separate toilet and bathroom.Also the shower was hard to control and annoying!!Apart from that the staff the proximity to the centre of town,breakfast were all good.

I stayed for a week-end with my wife in this property and was pleasantly surprised. PROS: - nice, modern, well equipped room - good offer of TV programs - excellent bed, good comforter - very clean and well kept - very nice bathroom, appreciated the separate shower - really well conceived - staff nice, friendly and efficient - good - though slitghtly expensive - buffet breakfast, well above standard French breakfast ... - a good point was the kettle and tea ... particularly appreciated for an early morning tea CONS: - street not very inviting .... SHOULD WE RETURN TO LILLE WE WOULD CERTAINLY STAY THERE
