This was quite a surprise as given that it is beside a busy junction we didn't hear traffic, the facilities for childrn were fantastic for a hotel of this type and it was easy to find. Free toy for children went down very well.

Stayed here for an overnight stop. Whilst the room in which we were staying was in theory a no smoking room, this clearly wasn't the case in practice and the bedroom smelled strongly of smoke. (This was also the case with our friends room who were travelling with us).
Rooms are of a good size though.
Food is ok but expensive for what it is - beers are 8 euros a time!

Wanted a place to stay with the family for the night near the motorway. This was a perfect place to stop over. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the rest of the hotel was as you wpuld expect from a Novotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the kids got a few Dofi freebies which went down well. The amenities were good and would be a pleasnt place to stay in the summer as it had a nice pool and terrace and kids play area with a volleyball net and boules court. The food was ok, but the hotel is surrounded with supermarkets etc so there are other choices locally.

Stayed here in august and it is a pretty standard Novotel, and the kids liked their free 'toys' on check-in. Situated to the north of Metz just off the motorway, with a largish shopping centre close by, with large Auchan supermarket and there was a pizza takeaway which closed at 2200. We arrived late and weren't too inspired by the limited choice of food served in the bar + restaurant, so drove to Hauconcourt which only had a few places to eat, but luckily for the kids there was a decent pizza takeaway. The room was good and one of the reasons for staying in france was being able to have 2 kids in the room with us , apparently in Germany this is not the case unless you spend a lot more. There were a good range of facilities here, but we didn't use them due to late arrival / early start. But a good hotel for 77 euro, is recommended for families on a budget. I think the hotel breakfast was about 12 euro, but we bought baquettes etc from the auchan across the road.
