Overall a good hotel for the price we paid, I thought it was value for money actually. I would forget about trying to use any of the Casino facilities if I returned, they are pretty horrible, and they try to encourage you to go with free vouchers and then don't honour them. The room was nice and spacious, clean and quiet, with a large balcony. Front desk staff were helpful and Internet was reasonably priced. I would be more than happy to stay here again.

We stayed three nights in all in this hotel. The room was lovely, with fruit and chilled water to welcome us. The staff were friendly and helpful. Checking in was very swift as they realised we were tired after a long journey and they were sympathetic and helpful to our loss of luggage in transit (airline problems!) The location was good. The food at breakfast and other meals was excellent. We stayed there during the Christmas period and the decorations were very good.

Abbiamo pernottato al Mercure Quito 3 giorni,cioè prima di partire per le isole Galapagos e subito dopo il ritorno,prima di tornare in Italia. A noi è stata assegnata una camera Junior Suite,con un balconcino da cui si vedeva gran parte dellacittà oltre che tutte le montagne(il famoso vulcano Pichincha)che la circondano. Personale gentile,forse un po'freddino cosi come le camere un po anonime(arrivavamo da 2 settimane in Peru,dove eravamo stati in hotel molto piu "caldi",per l'accoglienza e lo stile tipico andino!)ma comunque spaziose belle e pulite. Bagni un po' piccoli,un po' vecchiotti e senza finestra. Avendo un trattamento speciale (sono agente di viaggio e guardo gli hotel anche per poi consigliarli..)ci hanno offerto uno spuntino a base di tartine di pesce e dolci,devo dire molto buoni e molto apprezzato! Abbiamo cenato al loro ristorante interno,per la prima volta,nonostante avessimo pagato il menu turistico,ci hanno fatto comunque cenare a la carte, devo dire cena ottima e veramente abbondante,location molto carina ed anche elegante se vogliamo,clientela internazionale o del posto ma di un certo livello. Personale di sicurezza all'entrata che controlla perchè purtroppo Quito è una città un po' pericolosa,non cmq nella zona dell'hotel che è pieno centro! Nel complesso hotel discreto,moderno e funzionale,con casino'annesso...pero'non credo ci tornerei..

I guess if you are not part of a group you get the worst service. The hotel is well located, if somewhat seedy at night,clean, bed was very comfortable,breakfast is decent,however, it took us 2 hours to check in.They claimed to have a problem with our reservation,even though I contacted Kati who sent a shuttle to the airport to pick us up and promised a quiet room. a week before our arrival(I booked the Junior Suite 6 months in advance) Only after demanding to talk to a supervisor, we were given a suite (since our Junior suite was not available) Even if you contact the hotel prior to your arrival, it is still no guarantee and no justification for the total waste of time we had to endure. Not recommended.
