Very nice helpful staff but the hotel could be much improved

Stayed here for 1 night only, chose the hotel as they told me they had secure car parking facilities, and the web price of 110 EUROS was not excessive by Paris standards.
BUT:
The car park is some distance away in the basement of a seperate building, the spaces were tiny. if your car is any bigger than a Fiat 500 then you might have difficulty. to get in and out of this car park is another puzzle, you need to borrow a card from the Hotel, but you have to take this back there afterwards, there is nowhere to park outside the hotel so we caused trafic chaos whilst returning this card to the reception.
The breakfast at 14 EUROS is poor, there a plenty of cafes nearby accross the railway bridge, I would reccoment going there for breakfast, as 14 EUR is a disgrace for a coffee and a croissant.
The staff were very helpful and couldn't be faulted. the room was small but comfortable. the one amusing thing was that some previous guest had drunk all the spirits in the minibar and refilled the bottles with water. . . . I
If you can get this hotel for a good price it is fine, you can walk to the centre of paris in 20 minutes or take a train from opposite the hotel.
Nearby Place de Clichy has plenty of restaurants and bars.

Stayed at this hotel on business for 2 nights as it was the only one available at very short notice - a distance from my office but right next to a very good train line that is one stop from the centre of Paris. Trains every few minutes.
Hotel very basic in style in the public area. No restaurant (except for a breakfast room) but there are plenty of places nearby. Room was fairly small but very clean. Total lack of spare power sockets meant dismantling the bedside lamps to plug in my laptop etc. Very annoying.
Would not choose to stay here again myself , but as a base for a trip to Paris it would be fine if a good rate could be obtained.

Not the best hotel in Paris for certain, but good enough at the price. The location is OK, and if you like walking you can be downtown in 20 minutes.
It is very clean, and the staff are suberb in the extreme, in fact they are a very helpful, friendly bunch.
Breakfast is good, and for evening meals you have several good eating houses within 5 minutes, would I stay again, yes I certainly would.
