We stayed one night and we wanted to be in the heart of town. For that, this hotel is perfect, as it is right next to the castle of Popes. Rooms are large and bright, with rather simple décor, perhaps a bit outdated but comfortable and in good shape. The bathroom was large, but we noticed some mildew growing in the edges of the bathtub. It’s always better to take a shower anyway. The breakfast was pretty good, with the restaurant opening to a shaded terrace outside. Also, there is a huge underground parking right next to the hotel, which makes it very convenient for travellers driving on their own. The price was excellent. Overall, we’re glad we stayed there.

We chose this hotel for its location & were not disappointed. It is right next to the Palais des Papes.
The rooms are simple but beds very comfortable and the air con is very welcome after walking around the town.
We did not breakfast in the hotel but went to local cafes for the atmosphere. The nicest we found was in the Rocher des Doms gardens-so peacfull & good value! I think about 5 euros.
The hotel restaurant is fine & about the same price as all the others on the main drag. There is better value to be had in some of the side street towards the old market .
All in all a good hotel for a base in Avignon.

This is a very good hotel with an amazing location, right in the very center of Avignon.
Location: it is located in the very center. If you have a car, you should go around the city walls until you find the entrance to the Palais Des Papes Parking. Then, park on P3 level. From there, it is a 50 meter walk to the hotel. Parking price was 8 euros per night.
Room: Ask for rooms that are not facing the square, it is too loud. We had a very quiet room. It was big enough and very clean. There was a big closet, which is convinient if you stay for several nights. the bathroom and toilet were clean.
Staff: the staff was great. Everyone spoke English and was very polite at all times.
In conclusion, a very nice hotel which is very well situated.

Overall, I was satisified with this hotel. The location is great and rooms acceptable. However, my experience when I first arrived has left me a bit sour.
Upon check -in I was given a room on the first floor (the first and sixth floors are both non-smoking). The room was very small, everything was worn-out (carpet, tile, bedding) and a bit dirty. But I figured "what the heck - I did not plan to spend much time in there anway". Well, after about a hour the air conditioning unit started to leak drenching the carpet with water. The hotel moved me to another room on the sixth floor. This room was completely remodeld, clean and slightly larger. It was the same price of the dumpy room I had orginially been given. I was happy to have this nicer room, but irritated I was given a dump to begin with. Bottomline - always ask to see two rooms at this hotel so you don't get stuck with a dump.

Located literally around the corner from the Palace of the Popes this
hotel always seems busy. In the vicinity are several lovely souvenir and tourist related shops - all welcome if your stay in Avignon is brief. A short walk and you are in the centre of the old town with its cobblestone streets full of nice boutiques and artisan outlets. The cafes and restaurants near the hotel are to be avoided however with much better options available nearer the towns produce market - also worth a visit, and it’s fully covered. Breakfast was good but be
early as the smallish dining room fills up quickly. Service was excellent and relaxed, rooms very clean.
