We booked 2 rooms (31 and 42) and stayed for 2 nights. To echo the other reviews, the location of the hotel was superb and the staff were very friendly. There are 4 rooms on each floor, number #2 and #3 face the street and are slightly louder. Room #1 faces away from the street, less loud but only has one window, which makes it a bit dark. We had a wonderful stay, but note the following: - Our "double bed" was 2 twin beds pushed together with 2 separate blankets. If you're in town for a romantic getaway, you might want to call ahead to make sure you get a real double bed. - Nice toiletries, however, only shampoos and conditioners were provided. No lotion. - The bathtub/shower has no curtain, only half of the shower is covered by a piece of glass. If you have mobility issues, it might be a challenge getting in/out of the deep tub.

This is a very comfortable hotel, conveniently situated for the m?tro station Op?ra and the Place Vend?me. The room was very quiet indeed, with no noise from outside or from other guests. The bed was enormously wide with a firm mattress and plenty of good-quality pillows. The d?cor was very well done (a sort of Napoleonic feel with a modern touch), apart from a pair of nasty mustard-yellow curtains threaded on a pole by means of giant eyelets. The bathroom was a bit of a disappointment: difficult to have a shower without getting water everywhere, and the bath itself was oddly scuffed and marked, with little bumps of something where chips in the enamel must have been repaired. Nice toiletries, however, albeit of an impractical sort (ie, no conditioner, no facial moisteuriser... but the body lotion was good, and the shower gel not bad). The reception area, lounge and breakfast room were all extremely welcoming and well done-out. Breakfast itself was good, with freshly-squeezed orange juice and proper coffee, various viennoiseries and also ham, eggs, etc (though the cheese was processed and wrapped in plastic - unlikely to impress German guests!) Two small things: breakfast finishes at 10h30 and there is no room service at weekends. Nontheless, all in all, this was a very positive experience. We would love to stay there again... but it doesn't come cheap!

We have just returned from our short stay in paris and we loved the hotel. we booked two rooms, one for us and one for our in-laws. we both loved the hotel. Both rooms were of a good size, very clean and comfortable with in room safe, well stocked mini bar and large ensuite. The staff were great, we returned back to the hotel after midnight and they were happy to still serve us drinks from the very small, but cosy bar. The hotel is only a 2 min walk to the opera metro station, 5 min walk to the louvre. overall a hotel that we would recommend to everyone and it is also located in the right area of paris
