The location is great. Easy access to walk to the shopping district, madeline area, etc and safe. The hotel website does not portray up to date pictures/experiences accurately. The first room was so small with no air conditioning....we traded for a 2nd room which was a little larger....and then traded for a 3rd room with a fan and still no air conditioning ...and each room was a different size. The first room was claustrophobic and the 3rd room was fine in size...much smaller still than the website photo shown. Bottom line is if you are looking for price, good location, and not looking to spend much time in your room, book here. If you want a nicer hotel with working air conditioning, and you are used to nice hotels, move up to four or five star.

The hotel was tatty and worn. Reception desk staff unhelpful and unfriendly. Breakfast adequate but dining room far too small to cope with all the guests. General demeanour of the staff was bored and unfriendly. You get what you pay for. Having stayed in Mercure hotels around France this was one of the worst.

I have stayed at this hotel for 6 days in March.
They have stolen our money...but not all of them. The housekeeper took all our money fron the wallet except 50 Euro (I belive they had principles, and they thought we might need some cash to get bak home).
The room was a little bit larger than the bed...you could move around the bed if you were thin enough.
The breakfast was excellent, the only thing was that we had the same menu for the entire trip. So imagine 6 mornings with scrumbled eggs and ham.
Hope you don't have the same experience we've had (Police, etc etc)
Front desk service needs improvement

The location of the hotel is pretty good, its right infront of the subway station. But the receptionist at the front desk was a bit arrogant and wasn't all that friendly. I got bitten by fleas while I stayed in the hotel the first night. The hotel is pet friendly so maybe thats the reason why I got bitten. I got switched to another room the following night and the problem was solved. I think if they improve their service and attitude of their staff in the front desk, the hotel will be much better. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the staff in the restaurant are much more friendly.
