We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights last week. It is set in a beatiful park between the station and old city. It started with friendly welcome with lots of information on the city being offered, which was useful. The Reception staff were all nice and the room was spotlessly clean, although the bathroom could do with a little redecoration. When a chambermaid threw away my facial soap by mistake, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. So much so that Rachel at the reception appeared at my room with a replacement! With Colmar being such a beautiful town, there were a lot of tour groups staying at the hotel, which is the only minus point. They weren't noisy or anything, but I couldn't face having a breakfast in the breakfast room with full of groups. For dinner, try Meistermann across the park. Good / reasonable menu, but as the quantity is huge, we could only manage one course.

la habitacion que nos dieron nos la tuvieron que cambiar por que los colchones de las camas estaban completamente hundidos era imposible dormir alli, nos cambiaron de habitacion y en esta las camas no estaban mal pero el baño era de lo peor antiquisimo , no nos reponian el gel de baño y si nosotros no llevamos el nuestro tenemos que andar pidiendolo en recepcion , yo he estado en otros hoteles de esta cadena pero ninguno tan cutre como este.

Probably the worst thing about the hotel is it will never win any awards for beauty since it is a very ordinary 1970s low rise concrete block, but as you don't notice this once inside this hardly matters. The Receptionist was quick and efficient, and asked if this was my first visit to Colmar. When I said yes he immediately gave me a map and explained where all the main sights were. The room was spacious, clean and large, perhaps a little basic but comfortable nonetheless. It was on the top floor and overlooked the park which is very pleasant. I can only repeat others comments about the location being good. It is midway between the railway station and the old town (an easy, level 5 minute stroll to each). The hotel has a bar, but no restaurant although there are reasonably priced snacks available on room service. I didn't try these but the buffet breakfast contained a good choice of cereals, ham, cheeses, pastries, breads etc. and sausages with scambled eggs. Colmar is a lovely place to visit for a short while with lots of good restaurants. I had a delicious meal of local specialities at the Restaurant Bartholdi which I would recommend - and if I return, I shall stay at this hotel again.
