This is a great 3 star hotel belonging to the Accor Hotel Chain. It is situated about 10min walk from the main square -where the "Dom" is. Although the rooms are a bit on the small side they are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly. A great buffet breakfast is offered and there is a nice but small hotel bar. The hotel is situated on a busy street, where many bars are located, however i have never experienced any noise problems. Overall if planning a short stay in the fab city of Koln, and not wanting to spend a lot of money on accomodation then this hotel is perfect!

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July. There was an AWFUL sewerage smell and the staff was aware of this problem. When it rains a lot, the sewerage pushes up in the pipes and the smell becomes very overwhelming in some of the rooms. I could not go to the bathroom in the middle of the night without dry wrenching. I moved rooms 3 times and then just left and stayed at another hotel. Good breakfast though, but that's the only good thing i can say. The phone system is very old which makes it near impossible to use your laptop in your room. Not all the staff were very skilled in installing the adapter you need to use your laptop with the phone system. They refunded me, but my memories of this place are not good.
