We stayed in this hotel on a Saturday, arrived in Aachen really early. The shopping area's are a stone throw from the hotel, perfect for the ladies who enjoy shopping! The area surrounding the Hotel is clean and tidy. The hotel staff were very helpful and directed us to the underground secure car park which was really excellent and knowing that our car was really secure eased our mind. The room was really clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable one of the best I have ever slept in. There are loads of places to eat and Drink! within walking distance. Overall I was very impressed by the standard for a 3* hotel. I will certainly stay there again if I get a chance.

I thought that this hotel was a bit above average compared to other hotels that I have stayed in while traveling in Germany. I thought it most closely resembled a trendy version of the US "Courtyard by Marriott" chain or a budget "Hilton." The ammenities were very similar to those that you would find in a US hotel. (Except that the doublebed was a European double, split into two twins that are pushed together). At the last minute, we booked this hotel via their website for 95.00 euros for a superior room (it had an extra cot-like bed in the corner of the room with a bathtub/showern). If I could do it again, I would just have opted for a standard doubleroom for 80.00 euros without breakfast for 2 people. The extra cot & bathtub were not necessary. The rooms were fairly spacious compared to European standards, and the location was unbeatable! You are a few blocks away from the city center, and about 1/2 or 3/4 of a mile away from the Carilous Therman mineral bath spa complex. I highly recommend visiting this mineral bath spa complex at night...from about 8:30-11:00pm (they close at 23:00) and only opting for the mineral baths without the sauna (ie, "ohne sauna"). It is only 10 euros per person for 2.5 hours. Bring your own towels! All in all, we liked the hotel for its location & its comfort, and we loved the small city of Aachen which is perfect for a day trip/weekend 1 ight stay. Have fun!
