Wir waren im Dezember 2006 in diesem Hotel, als es noch ein Novotel war. Zu der Zeit war es sauber und die Preise waren auch sehr zivil gewesen. Es ist jetzt renoviert worden, das Zimmer war aber nicht so sauber wie damals und das Bad war richtiggehend dreckig. Die Heizung war selbst für März viel zu warm. Das Thermostat im Zimmer hat nicht funktioniert und auch die öffentlichen Bereiche waren viel zu warm. Auch beim Einchecken gab es Probleme, die Auszubildenden an der Rezeption sprachen nur Deutsch und brauchten 30 Minuten, um eine Reservierung zu finden. Im Sommer muss es im Hotel richtig warm sein.

we stayed in this hotel in december 2006 and before when it was a novotel at these times it was clean and offered good rates but when we stayed again the refurbishment was finally finished but we noticed that the room was not as clean as before and the bathroom was even filthy Even in march the heating was a big problem The indivual airco on the room was not working and the public areas are also very warm Also the check-in was a problem and the new trainees can only speak german and need 30 minutes to find a booking In summer time the hotel must really be verry tropical

Ich war vorher schon ein paar Mal in diesem Hotel gewesen, als es noch ein Novotel war. Also, eigentlich ist immer noch ein Novotel, es hat nur einen neuen Anstrich bekommen und ist ein wenig aufgemotzt worden, damit es wie ein Mercure aussieht. Insgesamt war es aber ganz okay, genauso, wie man sich ein Geschäftshotel in Stadtlage so vorstellt. Das Frühstück war okay und es war auch nicht zu teuer. Als ich das letzte Mal im Juni dort war, herrschte in Europa gerade eine Hitzewelle. Die Klimaanlage des Zimmers war ein Witz, es war wirklich über 30 Grad im Zimmer warm und an Schlaf war gar nicht zu denken. Ebenfalls nicht so toll waren die Internetgebühren. Für das Geld hätte ich Zuhause ein paar Monate unbegrenzt im Internet surfen können. Womit rechtfertigen sie das eigentlich? Ich habe einen ihrer Bögen ausgefüllt und mich so beschwert. Sie haben mir daraufhin ein paar Gratisgutscheine für Getränke samt eines Anschreiben geschickt, darin aber nicht gesagt, ob dieses Problem gelöst wird.

I have stayed at this hotel several times before, when it was a Novotel. To be fair, it still is a Novotel, just re-painted and upgraded a bit to look like a Mercure. That said it is normally quite OK and what you would expect from this business chain in a city location. The restauarant is OK as is breakfast and the price is reasonable too. On my last visit during June, it was pretty warm outside as it has been all over Europe. The 'air conditioning' in the room was a complete joke and the temperature was in the high 30's in the room. Sleep was pretty well impossible. The other gripe I had was the cost of internet access which was enough to buy a couple of months unlimited access at home. How can this be justified? I did make comment and fill in their forms. They sent me some free drinks vouchers and a cover letter but no indication that the problem would be fixed.
