The place is lovely and has real character. We where upgraded on arrival and so thought we where off to a good start. Our rooms where gorgeous, and the beds where spacious. Though it was a bit cheeky that they took a ?30 deposit for a cd to play, but as my cd player didn't work, I didn't really mind. Breakfast was pretty average to be honest. But all the staff was polite and kind - and I was happy, until I'd left and discovered that I'd left some things in my room. In a panic I emailed and asked if they could send it to me - which they did. But they also charged my credit card too - considering the amount we spent on the room and the cost of everything in the mini bar - I thought they could at least have covered that!!! Disappointingly tight!

My boyfriend and I went to Leeds on the weekend, as we were only going to be staying one night we didn’t want to spend a fortune but at the same time we wanted somewhere nice. We agreed to stay at the Quebecs Hotel as it was the least amount of money (?100 for the night, breakfast not included) out of all the 4 / 5 star hotels. I was concerned however as I had not read good reviews on Trip Advisor. I emailed the hotel in advance saying I hadn’t not read good things and could they ensure we didn’t have a noisy room and for the appliances to work.
On the way to Leeds I rang to find out about parking in the hotel car park, I was informed it was full and then was given very bad directions to the another car park. Luckily we didn’t have to get lost as you can park right outside the hotel after a certain time on a Saturday and free all day Sunday. We informed the reception when we arrived about the parking outside but she didn’t seem to care too much.
I was told the room I had reserved had been upgraded. Not sure if it had as it didn’t seem to have any extras to what I had booked. Maybe the only difference was that we had access to the Honesty Bar, more of that in a bit.
The room was a good size and a very comfortable bed. Lighting wasn’t great but overall we were pleased. It was just what we needed in terms of it being very central and comfortable.
When we returned to the hotel after our night out we went to the Honesty Bar but there was only 1 beer in the fridge. Hardly worth it for the upgrade! We raided the mini bar in the room instead.
The next morning I asked reception for some toothpaste, they charged us ?2.25 for the tiniest thing of Colgate and plastic toothpaste. I would have expected this to be free, especially not ?2.25!
When we checked out I asked if they could recommend somewhere for lunch, the boy on reception said he didn’t know of anywhere and started looking things up on Google. I ended up doing it myself as he was useless.
I expect from a 4-5 star hotel they can recommend somewhere for lunch. In the end we went to the Living Room which was adequate but I would not recommend to others.
I have previously stayed at the Malmaison which is much nicer but it is more expensive. Next time I go I will spend that little bit extra.

I booked Quebecs for a birthday treat for my husband. It was lovely, we were upgraded upon arrival and got Room 101, which was quiet (even though it was next to Reception), although the view was of the bins in the alley next to the hotel!! However, the room was gorgeous, I coveted the bathroom and the bed was just so comfortable. We were offered a complimentary bottle of water (wooh!), I asked for sparkling water, I got still and it was so obviously tap water in a fancy bottle, if I remember rightly, the cost of the bottle of water if we'd paid would have been over ?10 - there is no possible justification for this sort of cost. We didn't have breakfast, it seemed too pricey, considering that you're in the centre of Leeds and have breakfasts available left, right and centre.
Overall, we were pleased, we've stayed at the Mal, which we didn't rate as high as the Mal in Newcastle, we've stayed at the Queens, which was pretty good and the Park Plaza, which is pretty good too. I liked the slightly more individual feel to Quebecs.

2nd visit to hotel in the last year. It is in a great location in the center of Leeds, with a individual small hotel feel to it although it is part of a group.
We booked direct with the hotel and asked for a quiet room, only to find ourselves in a room over the main street. The reception staff moved us without any fuss to a room at the back. The bedroom was a little shabby, but the bathroom was very good, no bath but an excellent power shower. We took breakfast at the hotel which was fine, although the cooked breakfast was not very hot.
Parking can be a bit of a problem as the hotel has only a small car park. But street parking is close by and you can put a ticket on the night before to last you until 10.00am.
Would stay again, but needs a bit of money spending on the bedrooms.

What a great find?
Wonderful little hotel in the middle of Leeds - great room and brilliant service.
Look out for the 'shopping experience' weekend for the ladies in your life
Would most certainly stay again (even though I actually live in Leeds!)
