We loved the St. Petersburg. This small hotel tries hard to give its guests a 5 star feeling. eg. professional, courteous staff; freshly cooked breakfast; evening turndown service. We stayed in a superior room and it was nicely decorated and really comfortable. However, the bathroom was a bit on the small size considering the size of the room. The hotel is located one street away from the town square which we found very handy, no need for buses or taxis. It is opposite a beer hall and we were concerned about this but it closed at a reasonable hour and didn’t disrupt us at night. However, we stayed in Tallinn during the week so don’t know about weekends. The one drawback to this hotel is that there is no air conditioning and if you leave the windows open it can be a bit noisy. We never used a lift and don’t know if there was one so if stairs are a problem check this out.

We had a great stay for 3 nights in July at the St. Petersbourg. It is a human-scale hotel, in the best possible location in the Old Town of Tallinn (one of the most delightful of Europe). The decor, bedding and bathroom were attractive.
There is a historical old-world charm to the entire place, including the entrance lobby. Staff are attentive. Breakfasts are served in the glam Russian-style restaurant - try to get seats in the upper alcove, with great views into the medieval street just below. If you are lucky enough to have the sun out, it's an unbeatable experience. (The breakfast was excellent quality as well).

This is, I believe, the oldest hotel in Tallinn. It has been renewed and looks very nice indeed. Good, attractive, clean rooms, beautiful bathrooms, an excellent breakfast (during which you can say "hi" to the hotel parrot, Misha) and attentive staff.
I had read in other reviews that the rooms were noisy, but although we stayed in a room overlooking a very budy beer hall, the room was totally silent, possibly due to double glazing, thick walls and equally thick curtains. Believe me, noise is NOT a problem.
The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Tallinn, to be tried at least once. You are close to everything in the Old Town and you get a good night's rest.
Prices: make your reservation through a travel agency that combines flights with hotel. It's much, much cheaper than booking directly with the hotel and the price we paid was a lot less than the "standard" price. It pays to do your research on the internet.
In short, stay here. You'll like it.

Kurz gesagt, buchen Sie hier. Es wird Ihnen gefallen.
