A really nice hotel. It is not in the centre of Alicante but is within easy reach by a frequent bus service which is right outside of the hotel. The bus stop also serves the Airport and costs 1.10 euro.
The hotel itself is very clean and the food served in the evening was of a very high standard. The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever had the pleasure to meet in a hotel.
For a budget hotel this is of the very highest standard.

you know what you,re getting when you book an ibis hotel.bright clean, totally functional, blinding white pod bathroom ,large board bed with foam rubber matress, minimalist wardrobe.
so,don,t stay too long,in the room or in the hotel, and bask in the joy of only having paid ?40 per night.
nice friendly service, food absolutely average, about 4 miles from alicantes action, its position would be very irritating without a car.
i booked in a rush, but if you dont intend to hire a car ,stay in alicantes old town or harbour areas, and depending on your budget, brave the cockroaches or push the boat out.
the streets of the old town with their eateries & drinkeries are an absolute delight,as is the town beach.ideal for the weekend away.
and the ibis hotel was ok......just ok

I traveled with a friend to Spain in the summer of 2007. Alicante was a stop we were looking for since we were looking to spent a couple of days at the beach. This was a really nice place to stay. If you are looking to relax at the beach , then this is a good place to stay. This hotel is not in the city but it’s a 10 minutes drive to city center. We had a car and it was easy to get in town.
The staff is friendly and helped us with everything. The rooms are nice all equipped with cable TV, bathroom and air-conditioned. After staying in some hostels, we were happy to stay in a real hotel. Everything was clean. The breakfast was not included and cost about 6 euros (quite expensive but it was good). We also had dinner and snack there which were both really good.
The hotel is situated just in front of the Mediterranean. However, the beach is about 5 minutes by car. We went to the beach every day to a place called Urbanova. This was really nice. Beautiful sand and hot water. One day we went to Alicante (city center), which is about 10 minutes drive and we park at the port for 5 euros.
If you can, drive to Santa Pola and from there take the ferry to Isla de Tabarca. This place is a little paradise. It cost us about 11 euros for the ferry (round-trip) and the beach there is so cool.
Elche was a city we went to. We visited the park with all the palmers (can’t remember the name in English). So peaceful and beautiful for the eyes. This was about 30-40 minutes drive by car
I really enjoy this place and would go back any time. Alicante is a nice city and the hotel Ibis was worth it.
