We stayed here for a couple of nights, it is really well placed for getting into the centre of Brisbane. The rooms were nice, clean and the buffet breakfast was excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We used this as a base to go to Australia Zoo, which was ideal. Overall good value.

Over Easter I stayed at the Ibis Brisbane and would never go back again. Having worked in the Hotel industry for the last 5 years I was shocked how unhelpful and unpleasant the Front staff, Restaurant and cleaning staff were. Everything seem to be such a hassle for them, it was clear them couldn't not be bother with us. I stayed with my family here and there was the three of us in a room, when we arrived there was not enough towels and glasses for us, after ringing down to reception we got everything we needed. However the following day when our rooms were serviced, all the extras things eg towels were taken. We then proceeded to ring reception again only to be snapped at, and told we already got extra yesterday and did not believe the cleaning staff would take extra products away. We also went down for breakfast and even though it was included in our room rate we only ate there once as the service and food was terrible. In addition many of the buffet items were empty and trying to get things refreshed was practically impossible.
Throughout the room there is a place cards saying please join us for Happy Hour so we went to the bar no where were there a sign to say this was only on House wines and beer, even when we were talking about it in front of the bar staff we weren't told it was only there items. It was only when we checked out we realize this fact. On the day before we were to check out we accidentally left one of the room key in the place to turn on the air condition, when we arrived back this was also gone and reception then said we had lost it.
We had a few issue with our actual reservation and although something went wrong at the travel agents end the front staff where down right rude. Being a Hotel Reception I have dealt with many of these situation and always have compassion for client in front of me, however this clearly not the case at the Ibis, they are there to make money and don't care about those guests staying there.
I will never say at this hotel again and have advised my travel agent not to send anyone there in the future.

A great hotel, about ten minutes walk from the transport interchange (where we got dropped off from Surfer's Paradie), and approx 15 minute walk from the shopping and tourist area. The room itself was rather small but extremely clean and well presented. We were only there one night, and were very pleased when we were able to check in at 10:30am. We were next door to the lift shaft so had a little bit of disturbance from that, but not enough to warrant asking for a room change. The hotel has a bar, which was plain and bland but served a purpose! It's an easy 10 minute walk to the station for a 25 minute journey to the airport. I'd stay here again. You have to be prepared to walk to the touristy bits of this lovely city, but the convenience for transport is great. Fantastic value for money!
