Having just stayed at the Ibis hotel continually for nearly two and a half years I can only say that it is ideally situated for the Galleria shoppping centre and Silverscreen complex, also very close to Piotrkowska Street where all the main restaurants, bars and clubs are situated.
The hotel is very good value for money, all the staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful especially everyone who works behind the reception and restaurant/bar area, they all take time to have a chat and make you feel at home.
The bar area is a great friendly meeting place and there are many people from all over the world so you get to make many friends and acquaintances.
The rooms are quite basic but have recently been upgraded on some floors with new TVs (some English channels for news/sport and films), duvets, showers, new flooring etc and this has certainly improved things especially if you are staying in the hotel along time.
The breakfast in the restaurent is better than continental but sometimes it can get very busy depending on the time you get there in the morning. Maybe the only slight criticism is the quality of the meals/price in the restaurent.
Internet is available wireless or a card for the computer near the reception desk.
Overall the hotel is excellent and I would not have stayed so long in the Ibis if I had not felt so at home so I would recommend it to anyone.

I have stayed here on seven occasions since last year and feel like its our home from home. Atmosphere here is just so friendly and the quality of care is second to none. I Would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to anyone travelling alone or with family.

Basic but functional hotel
Guest name: Solgott, Sweden
First I got little bit disipointed because the room was very smal. We where 2 adults and one 2,5-years old child. My brother had a room by himselfs so it was perfect for him but for us, three people was kind of crowded .
Anyway, the room was clean and funktional. Very nice bathroom as well.
The stuff was very friendly and spoke perfect english.
The breakfeastbufé was good.
The only thing I did not like was that there wasn´t any stairs you could use, ONLY in case of emergency but not otherwhise. I really hate elevators so I usually use the stairs but I could not do that this time.....
Ibis hotel has perfect location, next to a big shoppingmall and 10 minuts away from shoppingstreet Piotrkowska.
If I ever go back to Lodz again I will defenitly stay at Ibiz!
Modern, and perfectly adequate

New hotel resembling modern prison from the outside but very comfortable once inside with a spacious downstairs which includes restaurant that serves up a good buffet breakfast. Have stayed here twice and have found the hotel to be fine, although the rooms are rather basic they are perfectly functional. The receptionists and restaurant staff all spoke excellent English and very helpful. Located on a busy street but the sound insulation in the rooms was excellent plus the air con is good. Just a few minutes walk from the end of Piotayrkowska Street with its proliferation of fine old buildings, good restaurants and coffee shops which are much better enjoyed in summer when the tables spill out in to the street. Lodz is a worthy detour and one night stop over (maybe not in the winter) if you are travelling between Krakow and Warsaw by train. If you are unfortunarte to be stuck here in winter the hotel is also just a 3 minute walk to the modern indoor shopping mall.
