The hotel standards are a little bit below the average campared to the other Ibis Hotels i have been so far (in Germany and France in 2007)... Anyway the room was clean, very well heated (maybe even too much!), the hotel staff was friendly and a good breakfast was served (70 SEK)... The hotel is 500 metres far from Vastertorp Tube Station (which takes you to the city centre in 18 minutes). There's a very good gym which costs 70 SEK per day for hotel guests with a sauna. I would definitively recommend this hotel to families, young couples (we belong to this category) since the atmosphere is very calm.... but even to singles who can get to pubs and clubs of Sotermalm and Stureplan very easily vith the tube, which works till 3,30 am during the weekends! PS There are also nightbuses connecting the hotel to the city but i don't know much about that...

Huge IBIS. In the outskirts, but easily reachable by underground (400 m from hotel). Noisy road nearby, but double window panes, no problem. Large rooms. Free parking available. A nice place if you´re travelling to Stockholm by car. Typical IBIS breakfast (however advisable since it is not easy to find a place to have meals in the vicinity). Good value if you don't want to spend a lot in such an expensive city. I would definitely stay at the IBIS HAEGERSTEN again.
