Stayed one night as I was eating at the Atomium (stunning place!). The hotel location is along a dreary road opposite the Exhibition halls. A challenge to get there on foot. The room was clean although with rather a funny smell - I had to open the window while I was out eating. Type of fittings not fully Ibis standard. And not cheap - almost ?100. It wasn't a nightmare but I won't stay there again.
Stay somewhere else in the summer.

This hotel is in very close proximity to the Brussels Expo area, home of the 1958 World's Fair and its symbol, the Atomium. In the shadow of the Atomium (which is closed for repairs in 2005, see their web site) there is also Mini-Europe, an outstanding miniature theme park (also see their web site). It's also very close to the Brussels Metro system and it only takes 15 minutes by train to get to the Grand Place and all the famous sights.
The hotel itself is in a rather run-down area. Set off the street, it is a little hard to find. We had reserved a "family room" to sleep three. It turned out to be two connected rooms and a bathroom. The plumbing had a very apparent sewer smell and we had to keep the bathroom door closed all the time. It was also extremely hot in Brussels during our visit and this hotel is not air-conditioned. We opened the one large window wide, although there were no screens. Unfortunately, right under our room was a gas station, and until the wee hours we heard cars and trucks pulling in and filling their tanks. It was very noisy due to the proximity to the street as well.
The "included in the price" breakfast was under average as these things go, nothing special.
The staff we spoke with were friendly but I would look elsewhere if I were to travel to Brusells again in the summer.
