My Girlfriend and I decided we wanted a night out in town so I went on wotif and found a good deal in their simple Guest Room's. Reception was very good and quick, as were the lifts stunning inside.
The inside of the hotel is beautiful and the corridors not large nor many rooms along them giving it a more hommie feel to it. Inside the room i was pleasently suprised at the size of the bathrooms and the balcony which i did not expect either. The marble floors and large shower though tops it off.
Once we unpacked I noticed the TV wasn't working and just before i was to ring for maintainence we had a knock at the door, it was a hotel employee coming to check the bar fridge so i thought well while he was here he could fix the TV which he did in no time which was very handy. Pools and spa are located on the first floor and are nice, the windows along the pool though could do with a clean.
All in all our stay was really great but the real let down was after our stay being charged $7 on my credit card for god only knows what as we didnt touch anything in the bar. I would stay again well worth the money!

During check-in the staff were extremely helpful. Great location (everywhere is central in the CBD in Adelaide).
Breakfast was good. The room and bathroom were pure luxury.
Valet parking was excellent and reasonably priced.
We got an excellent deal from a TV travel show.
Highly recommeded.

My partner and I stayed overnight for our 5th anniversary in April 2007 - the room itself was stylish and loved the "central" bathroom - however the windows were dirty, curtains coming off tracks & overall cleanliness was not at "5 star" level - definately forget the breakfast! Departing the following morning was a nightmare with slow valet service and when we queried the room rate (a discount % advertised in local Entertainment Book) we received no satisfactory response.
Since staying at this Very Average hotel we have heard nothing but complaints - 12 months worth! My partner contacted the hotel not long after our stay but with no follow-up from management that gives a strong indication that they have absolutely no 'service-industry' skills. To any traveler who reads this - find a different hotel. I only hope that management or even better owners read this - get some serious help with your staff issues.

I had just returned from this hotel from a business trip. My entire stay was absolutely TERRIBLE. One morning I was unable to take a shower before work, as there was no hot water! Foxtel (satelite TV) and in-house entertainment was both out of order for the duration of my stay! !! I went downstairs to check out, no apology was given. When I wanted to pay, I was informed that there is a problem with their credit card facilities and they cannot process my payment for checkout. I had to leave my credit card details and left the hotel. A week later, I got the itimised bill in the post, to discover that there is items on my bill that was put through on my credit card for example breakfasts which I never had! Querrying this with the hotel was another problem. Finance Department did not call me back, it took 4, yes, 4 interstate calls to get this reversed! Absolute shocking service! No hot water, no foxtel and in-house entertainment, unable to checkout, unauthorized transactions on credit card, extremely bad service from Finance Department, that sums it up for me. For a 5 star hotel, I was extremely dissapointed and would not stay at this hotel again. It was a horrible experience and NOT worth the money I paid!

We travelled from the UK for a trip to Adelaide and Sydney. Our flight arrived at 8am from Singapore, and knowing this, we rang ahead and decided to pay for the night before so our room would be available as soon as we arrived for us to shower, etc.
Upon arrival we were told our room wouldn't be ready until 2pm! I complained straight away, as we had paid up-front through our travel agent for the extra night! I was then told that the hotel was full and so we definitley could not have a room. We realised that they must have re-let our room, as we demanded to see the Manager. We were told he wasn't availble, so I said I would sit in reception, complete with a fractious jet-lagged 3 year old as we had no where else to go! After about 20 minutes the Manager suddenly appeared. After more discussion a room was suddenly made available.
But it gets worse...! Upon arrival we only had one bed - for the 3 of us! Not once did any of the staff apologise. We demanded our money back for the one night we paid for, as they hadn't kept their end of the deal by having the room available. The Manager said he would pay for our breakfast - but he never did! We were so desperate to get out of the place we didn't bother to chase them up.
The only good points were the beds, comfy and nice clean sheets and beautiful bathroom. However, the wondows were really dirty (almost couldn't see out and the curtains were falling off the tracks. Also beaware as the elavator has a life of its own!
In all, definitley not 5 star service.
