Just back from 5 nightmarish days in this hotel. As soon as we arrive(check in time is at 1200 Hrs and we arrived at 1200 hrs) we were told that rooms will be available one hour later!!! Then why is the check-in time at 1200 Hrs?? So we come back an hour and a half later and then finally get a room. We request the person at the reception that we will be staying for a few days so if he could be kind enough and give us a room on a higher floor. He simply refuses, stating that they dont know when the room will be free(maybe they need to correct the booking system..as this is the first hotel I have seen where they do not know which guests are going to checkout on a particular day). Now for the location, yes its close to the Metro and a shopping centre..but i guess that is not what you would go to Paris for...And this hotel is very far away from the sights in Paris(but we could still live with the commute..although long). Next issues is the water system they have installed in the hotel..it either gives out boiling hot water or freezing cold water..never does it give out warm water...it was uncommon to not come out of the shower with a minor burn...The staff in this hotel are exceptionally curt and uncaring..when you ask them of something they say that they dont have it or they dont know. Only once this receptionist point us in the correct direction. If you have made the mistake of booking in this hotel, then please do yourself a favour and dont go and eat the breakfast there. Its a complete waste of money for the 8 Euro?s that you pay per person. Go across the street to the shopping mall and buy somthing from there. They run out of everything even before the breakfast starts(Even stuff like paper cups were not available when we were there in the hotel...let alone the food that they serve). To top it all off the 2 ladies who run the breakfast room are the most rude staff in any hotel I have ever come across. They simply dont seem to care about anything. We complained to the duty manager one of the days about this. The next day there was only a slight improvement in their behaviour. The only good point about this hotel..Relatively clean hotel..the housekeeping do a good job(although should comment here that the first day we arrived there, the bathrooms were dirty and we had to ask the reception to clean them again) but besides this one incident, the rooms were well cleaned and kept tidy. Honestly would recommend all to stay away from this hotel, it does not deserve you as a guest.

Ibis Place D'Italie has good location: in front this Hotel, a Shopping Mall, a supermarket, cafe. Nearby, many bars, restaurants, laundry...100 meters from Ibis...Place D'Italie Metro Sation... You feel safe in this place. Ibis Hotel has clean rooms and friendly staff. Everything was ok for us.
