Good Munich Alternative

Ok, so the Ibis was actually VERY good for budget minded travelers (We are a couple, 21 and 25 years old). We stayed here as a cheap alternative to the 300+ euro hotels in Munich. This hotel was 55 euros a night. It had an onsite parking garage for 7 euros a day which was great.
It has a small bar in the lobby, which some people were drinking at every time i went there, nice for a drink or two before bed or after a day of sightseeing. Not a social scene at all. There is a mini resteraunt which serves breakfast, but its way overpriced at 15 euros or something like that. Don't pay for it. Just walk down the street to a bakery and eat there for a few euros.
The hotel itself is simple. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but all we wanted was a place to sleep. Double bed, kind of hard, but it got the job done. Small tv, small bathroom, and they only provided towels, no soap or shampoo.
Going into Munich was easy, just walk to the train station (10 minutes, a few blocks) and take the DB train for about 45 minutes. You can get an all day 5 person pass for the DB, U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and Busses for about 20 or 30 euros. It works out to be a very good deal rather than buying everything individually.
One note though, is that i'd actually recommend staying at the other Augsburg Ibis. It's like 10 euros cheaper per day, and is a few blocks closer to the train station. I didnt stay there, because it was booked full, but i dont see any downside to that.
