My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Siam for 4 days at the end of june and 3 night in July. If anyone is wanting a good night's sleep then stay here. The rooms were clean, the breakfast had a good selection. Also the staff were very helpful. The one downfall (which does not have anything to do with the hotel) is that right outside the hotel there are taxi drivers. But they will not take you directly to your destination - they will take you to a gem factory because they get commision on every person they take.
The rooms were serviced everyday. The one day we did not want our room serviced, reception called us to let us know if we required anything at all to let me them know. Also one morning I went to open the curtain I must of yanked it too hard and pulled down the whole curtain rail. I forgot to mention it on the way out but when i came back to the hotel room that evening everything was fixed!!!!

Nice hotel, BUT THEIR ADVERTISING IS NOT TRUTHFUL
Guest name: lemr, NY, NY
Stayed here in June 2008. The hotel looks to be recently remodeled, nice enough rooms, very friendly staff.
However, the web site basically lies about a few things:
First, their entry on Kayak.com says that internet is free, which is a lie. It's about $13 per night extra. (This is the second time I've been burned on "free" hotel internet, it's really starting to get annoying.)
Second, this hotel is not on the BTS (Skytrain) line - it's about a long, hot walk, at least 10 minutes, which is a pain, especially in the day when traffic is particularly bad in this area and taxis are not really an option.
A final peculiarity: we ordered room service, and they refused to bring it up to the room - they had us pick it up in the lobby. Not a big deal, but there were like 4-5 staff in the not doing much when I went down to pick up the food.
Basically, though, not a bad hotel, it's just not exactly what is advertised.
A Welcome Surprise

I found the Ibis to be conveniently located, right by Victory Square with lots of shopping, restaurants, and 7-11 and massage parlor right outside our front door.
The facilities were perfectly nice and you can't beat the price! I would definitely recommend it as an affordable option. One piece of advice: Bring earplugs, as the traffic outside the rooms is unfortunately rather audible. Great AC in the rooms though. :-)
