I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2008 after reading the previous reviews and was very surprised at how (relatively) cheap it was. It's a real bargain - a business-standard hotel with all the associated benefits (clean, comfortable bed, satellite TV etc), and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom only had a shower, and the room lighting was a bit dim, but other than that it's great value for money.

This hotel was VERY nice. I've spent many nights with the Ibis chain, and this hotel, whether brand new or newly referbished, was excellent. The room size and cleanliness were more than expected. All of the staff we encountered were great! The hotel is within a short walking distance to shopping and restaurants, but there is also a bar and restaurant on site. Overall, I think this hotel is of a higher quality than you might expect for Ibis! However, note that there is only a valet parking option (at $15/night) but it was a fair price as other parking was just on the street.

This is a new hotel, in a handy place in Hamilton. Booked over the phone, on the way to the hotel, and requested a smoking room. The guy said "no problem!". Upon check in, was told the entire hotel was smokefree and put on the 8th floor in a room with no balcony. Apart from this - it was fine! The hotel itself is in mint condition, comfortable bed, great shower, plasma TV. Friendly checkin staff.
