Very happy travellers!

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. For it's star rating my husband and I thought it was very good. The bed was larger than average with good soft duvet and we found it very comfortable. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and very good shower. More than adequate breakfast with great Polish sausage! Also managed English tea! Great view of monument from our room also! We even had excellent weather! What more could you ask for?
Good quality...Close to oldtown...not to nightlife

I stayed in this hotel several weeks, but only on working days..I used to move to hostels/pensions in south of the city center in order to enjoy better the nightlife. Don't get me wrong: this hotel is conveniently located in the old jewish quarter, so if you want to visit the oldtown and enjoying a good polish dinner in the hear of the ancient Warsaw, it is ok. But I have to say that the since it was almost completely destroyed in worldwar2, the oldtown is mostly a reconstruction and a very touristic zone. So, you could get bored of visiting always the same places and start looking for a more realistic polish experience. You can find it in the NewWorld (as polish people call the Nowy Swiat street and the surrounding zone). About the hotel? Quite a standard Ibis one, we had several problems with paying with credit cards, but nothing really worrying. Dining and having a drink here could result expensive and food isn't the best and most typical. Good rooms for a nice price, close to business zone, it's a good deal if you want to do business by day and having a good dinner in the oldtown at night. Businessmen interest in polish history and food/wine could find good rest in the close oldtown restaurants and sites of interest.

Just back from the Ibis, and pleasantly surprised with the hotel and Warsaw in general.I do not travel on business so my needs are probably fewer than some members but what I look for is value for money, location, and cleanliness and the Ibis was just fine on all of these counts.
Swift and efficient check in and check out, room clean and warm, bathroom functional and clean, maid service excellent.
Didnt eat the breakfast as I thought 28zl for each of us including an 11 year old was just not good value when prices in the city centre were much more reasonable.
Good location,10 min walk will get you into the New Town which then merges with the Old Town.Wasnt sure what to expect from Warsaw in terms of things to do,but didnt run out of ideas even after 4 days, mind you with beer to be had at 5zl in many places there was always an excuse for a sit down.
The trip to the viewing platform of the Palace of Culture is worthwhile and a place I can recommend to eat and drink is Browarmia also the Champions sports bar at the Marriott although the beer in these places is nearer to 12zl but thats still only £2

It didn't start very well. I booked two single rooms via Ibis' web site, but when we arrived at Ibis Stare Miasto only one room was booked in my name. Fortunately I had a printout of the confirmation e-mail with me, so they corrected the mistake without much fuzz, although the hotel was officially fully booked. Overall I found the staff to be friendly and service minded.
The rooms were nice and clean. Typical standard, business style rooms. It was quiet, but I could hear the elevators going up and down as they were right across the hallway. The beds were a little on the hard side, but I slept well nevertheless. I read that someone thought the towels were thin, I thought they were perfectly fine. The breakfast buffet was good and for 28 PLN it should be.
The location of the hotel is one of its real strengths. Not smack in the middle, but yet close to the nicer parts of Warsaw. If you don't feel like walking there are plenty of trams and buses to choose from. By the way, another reviewer wrote that airport bus 175 stops right outside of the hotel. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Warsaw is constantly changing. A fast way to reach the central station was to take tram 15, 18 or 36.
To sum it up we had a pleasant stay, but the booking issue do make me a little hesitant to choose Ibis next time.
