A few minutes walk from downtown. Nice quiet area. Friendly helpful staff Clean and Ibis quality, you know what you get.

It's an Ibis, so you know what you are going to get. Smallish rooms with a strictly functional feel, likewise the bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast, marred only by the truly horrible coffee. (It baffles me that a French hotel chain can get away with this all over Europe). In Salamanca the Ibis's location is very good- around 15 minutes' stroll from the historic city centre. And it looks out over a quiet garden/ park. Finding the hotel if arriving by car is something of a challenge, but we managed it. The key is to cross the river at the right bridge (check the hotel's location map for details), then look out for the Ibis road signs. The underground car park is a good place to ditch your car for a few days. Salamanca is wonderful- right up there with Granada and Cordoba. Not to be missed.

Stayed here for one night in March. The hotel is really quite central and pretty easy to find. You can walk to all the major sites within 10 minutes. I felt it was great value for money, rooms were clean and reasonably spacious, the bathroom, although a bit small was very modern and spotless. You can buy wireless access but the only available option they had was 24 hr access for 12 euro which I felt was a little pricey. The staff were all friendly and all had English, as I have no Spanish!

Me encanto el Ibis Salamanca. Mucha limpieza y muy buen precio. Esta muy cerca del centro (a unos 8 minutos andando) y el desayuno buffet es muy completo y ¡¡hasta mediodía!! La gente del hotel es muy atenta y amable, en especial Rafa que fue muy simpático y servicial, y están dispuestos a solucionar los problemas en 15 minutos o estas invitado (yo no pude comprobarlo porque no tuve ningún problema). Muy recomendable.

We stayed here for three days at the end of August.As folk have said on this site, it is great value (177 euro for three nights), in a safe location (10-15 minutes pleasant walk to the historic centre) the rooms are smallish but quiet and well cooled in the summer. The reception staff speak english and were very helpful without being intrusive.When you check out the computer system does suggest that you have had breakfast each day and also parked your car.But you simply say you havent (if its true of course) and there is no problem. Salamanca itself is a brilliant place.Two good bars in the centre are Tintin and Ciaos(wine and tapas two euro).The plaza mayor is as good as the photos and the old cathedral is unmissable.
