We stayed here for the second May bank holiday weekend and had a really nice stay. The weather in Stockholm was perfect so we could walk everywhere and the hotel was really central. It wasn't right in the shopping or touristy district, but up the hill slightly and a few streets over, so very close without being right in the middle of everything.
Very quiet hotel, I would suggest requesting a room down the hallway a bit (we had 601). We were on the same floor as breakfast and right by the door to the stairwell/elevators so the door kept slamming all morning long while people came and went from breakfast. The 6th floor does include rooms with balconies though, not big enough for a chair, but nice to open the window and go out to take pictures.
The staff were very helpful and spoke really good English. The booked us a cheap cab to the airport which I think was even cheaper than 2 people taking the Arlanda Express.
The breakfast was really good and filling, we didn't need lunch any day we were there. We did eat at Tiramisu, which everyone else seems to have tried too, and it was very good, although not as affordable as people mention (if you're getting an appetizer, main, dessert and wine at least).
Overall, the hotel was great: in a good location, good staff, filling breakfast, clean and basic rooms, but at least with a bit of style. Bottom line though is that Stockholm is really expensive. Although the hotel was perfect for what we were looking for, I would've expected a lot more in other cities for the price we paid. With that said, I searched long and hard for a good hotel without a hefty price tag and this is what I found.

As always you never know what to expect when you book a good deal on-line, however I was nicely surprised. We were allocated a newley refurbished room which overlooked a pretty little park. The hotel was nicley located 10 mins walk from both the bus station and the main centre.
They described the breakfast that was included as light, however this was full continental and a very good choice. Staff were also very helpful and friendly however that goes for all the Swedes we encountered. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in this hotel for a long weekend to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We had a corner room with two Juliet balconies, one overlooking Tegnerlunden Park. I would imagine this is very pretty when the trees are in leaf. The room was minimalistic (something I would like to achieve at home!) and very clean. We missed the English custom of providing tea and coffee facilities in the room, but there is an ice cube machine on one of the landings. The staff were helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet is on the top floor - nice views over all the roof tops - and the selection of food excellent. The location is good, about half an hour's stroll to the Old Town of Gamla Stan.
Stockholm is an extremely expensive city. I would recommend one of the bus/boat tours - details from the Hotel. For a good lunch go to the National Museum (you don't have to pay the entrance fee) and you can use the toilets there for free! The restaurant Tiramisu near the hotel is excellent. The view from the Kaknastornet Television Tower is breathtaking and easily reached by bus (I forget the number).

At first, we were reluctant to stay in this hotel due to the construction but honestly we are glad that didn't stop us. The construction was not an issue at all. The room was nice and comfortable, simple but clean. The bathroom was a nice size for European hotels and the shower was very good. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of juices, coffee, breads, fruit, cheeses, deli meats and some local foods. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
The Tegnerlunden hotel is in a great location, walking distance from Central station, shopping, and a very nice park across the street (with swings and gliding horses, if you plan to travel with small children, this hotel is an excellent choice). We will definitely stay in this hotel again and recommend it.
We also recommend the Tiramisu restaurant for dinner (just a couple of blocks from the hotel) The food and service was excellent.
