You know that Ibis hotels are a good bet - they are good value for money and this one is no exception. We stayed overnight and found it an ideal location. We were close enough to a few restaurants for our evening meal and near enough to walk around Limoges centre.

Stayed here for one night when driving through France. Typical Ibis stuff, basic, smallish rooms but clean and good value.
The location is ok with a couple of bars outside the hotel and the town centre a five minute walk down the hill.
There is a secure carpark but as usual overnight parking is free in most places in France from about 6pm through til 9am. (Putting money in the meter in the evening will top it up and give you enough for a lie in the next day...)
Had a good meal 2 mins away at Le Bistro Gourmand (right out of hotel up to Place Winston Churchill, on left hand side) that was also good value.
I would stay here again, I don't think there is that much to do in Limoges but as a stop over is fine.

Part of the Accor hotel chain this Ibis is located just beside the main entertainment and dining area of Limoges and a short walk to all of the centre of the town.
There is a secure car park to the rear and it costed 8 euros a night but was worth it. There are only about 8 spaces so it might be best to book. Don't try to find it, go to reception first and they will help with a map to negotiate the one way traffic system
The hotel is small and the rooms are efficient but have all that's required for a day or two's stopover. (We stayed two nights) Very good buffet breakfast which costs extra. Our (my wife and I) room (329) was at the back of the building and was very quiet as was the hotel.
If travelling south to the Dordogne the road signs are just beside the hotel so it's easy to follow and the station is about two thirds of a kilometre away downhill from the hotel.
Tip: Good value meal at the restaurant attached to the covered market in the centre of town. Very local, very French, very friendly.
