Considering all the crap other guests have written on this page, I'm pretty happy that we keep it as it is; a cosy hotel with a lot of atmosphere and all the modern conveniences you need + a great gourmet restaurant with value for money.
The hotel is cosy and located at a great location.
The best thing about this hotel is the location, a short stroll from the quayside at Nyhavn where about 20 restaurants are located side by side.
The location is wonderful and the hotel is close to everything.
The Metro from the airport takes you to a station which is a five minute walk from the hotel.
The hotel was very easy walking distance to the square, the metro, the buses, and the walking street.
The room wasn't the biggest in the world, but it was nicely furnished, had a really comfortable bed and a large clean bathroom.
Our room was a "junior suite" with a king bed, "guaranteed.
Double bed was small for the room and was pushed up against a wall leaving a narrow passage to a tiny toilet.
Let's see--running toilet, dirty bathtub, no way to control heat or open window in a too-hot room, a desk that is unusable because the sixth-floor ceiling slants out over it, only one chair in a room for two people.
Superior rooms have a view of the water / canals however the bathrooms are TINY, the size of a small broom closet, so if a roomy bathroom is essential to you.
The basement bar is cosy and right close to all the restaurants.
The Restaurant is closed on Sundays which was a little annoying but just a little way down the street are all the restaurants you could want.
The breakfast is great, and the bar is fantastic although expensive.
We didn't use the hotel bar or restaurant as they seemed very empty & a bit overpriced.
It was a safe neighborhood with people in the evenings just up the street in the bar/restaurant row on the canal -- nice to be around other people walking.
The location is excellent, the hotel is cosy and front desk service very pleasant and helpful.

My room was on the third floor so I reached it from the upper elevator in the lobby.

Furthermore old building has a unique atmosphere and the very pleasant lobby.
The staff were efficient, the bathroom tiles were clean and the buffet breakfast was delicious.
The service was excellent, the room itself was impeccably clean and the breakfast buffet was just wonderful.
