A friend and I were going to Chicago for the weekend and had booked our room on Hotwire. After reading the most of the reviews on this site, we were more than nervous about what was waiting for us for the first leg of our trip. I am happy to say that I loved this Hotel. Yes the restroom was very small in the room itself, but other than that I was very happy. The staffs at the front desk were great, the room was clean and the temp was fine. Nice to have music greeting me as I arrived. The hotel bar was nice and the bartender was super nice. The food was GREAT!!!! You could hear the air traffic from the airport, but quite frankly I think staying down the street from the airport you are bout to hear that noise. Take the chance. If you have my experience you won't be sorry.

We stayed at the Wyndam O'Hare for one night, that was enough. We'd read both good and bad reviews and wonder what standards those who submitted good reviews followed! The room was shabby, wallpaper coming off the walls in places, the air conditioning was noisy, shower fixtures were coming out of the wall, bathroom tiles had seen better days. You don't need a wakeup call if around 6am, as the airplanes roaring overhead will serve as your alarm clock. The guest services stated that there was a charge for internet in rooms, but you could go to the lobby for complimentary internet...well, the only complimentary internet service there was for some sort of Wyndam club members. You could use the business center for $.50/minute. Parking was $16, staff was not all that helpful....I'd say curt and short. I had a cup of coffee and a croissant for $8. I dialed "O" for the hotel operator, asked about the shuttle to the airport for my husband, was connected to long distance - I hung up immediately - and was charge $6.20. I had to explain to 2 people that I didn't use long distance...easy to see since the minimum of one minute was on the charge. They finally erased it. This is one place I'll never enter again......beware!

I used this hotel with a park/sleep/fly option. I had used it once before with no problems. This time, however, my plane arrived delayed at 1:30 am. I had previously checked that the shuttle ran 24 hrs. and was assured it did. We were told every 30 minutes. When I called to verify at the airport, I was told it was on schedule. I left the relative safety of the airport to stand outside with my daughter at 2 am. By the time the shuttle arrived it had been at least 50 minutes. The calls to the hotel were met in one instance with extreme rudeness. The clerk said "the shuttle is complimentary, feel free to take a taxi." Each time I called I was told it was on its way---the hotel is approximately 5 minutes from the hotel and there was no traffic at that time of night. While I realize the shuttle is not a limo service, correct communication is a necessity. The driver was angry and rude when he finally arrived. He drove back very fast, slamming on the brakes whenever possible and mummbling to himself. I felt threatened and unsafe. The room itself was nice and the managers I spoke with were apologetic. I could not recommend this hotel if you are planning to use the shuttle at night. The day is probably okay.

I stayed here with my dance studio for 2 years in a row and unfortunatly i have to go back this year. Last year i was sleeping in my room at 11 at night and we heard screaming from the elevator. THE POWER HAD GONE OUT AND NO EMERGENCY LIGHTS WORKED INCLUDING THE GENERATOR!!! we had to see in the dark to go down stairs into the lobby with our cell phones and glow sticks. eventually the lights came back on 2 hours later after the fire department came to get the poor people out of the elevator. by this time i was almost asleep in the the bar with other friends and their parents. i was very tired along with every one else the next morning because we had early dance classes. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Booked through Priceline so I was stuck. What a dump! Furniture chipped and cracked. One of 2 elevators did not work the entire 6 nights we were there. Parking was $16/day although, after arguing with me, the clerk reluctantly lowered it to $8/day. Not wanting to upset my elderly mother any further, and see the poor treatment I received re: parking, I did not complain further about room, but should have. Grout in bathroom was filthy, wallpaper and paint peeling off walls, and the vanity sink was cracked.
