just back from holiday.hotel is very clean and bright.biggest problem was the noise at night.the hotel was full of young people who made noise all night.one night nobody got any sleep due to someone trying to get into his room and trying to kick the door in.security did arrive lad apologised and then started again.doors were slammed every night all night. meals were very boring and repetitive.we in fact gave up on the evening meal and went out to eat as did many others.breakfast was usually ok but never had a hot cup of tea,water was luke warm.we did enjoy the holiday weather was good.certainly would not go back.

We booked this hotel for myself my wife and my brother and sister in law as we told this was an ideal hotel for families and couples by Thomas Cooks in Glenrothes. What they didnt tell us was it was also an 18-30 hotel and was three quarters full of young peple who were making noise 24 hrs a day. Saying this the hotel itself was great with superb service and facilities. However had we been told in advance it was an 18 - 30 hotel we would have booked a diffrent hotelFinally the Thomas Cook reps were a waste of space as we never saw them although they were be in the hotel 6 days a week . Ok i had my moan but we still had a great time.

My husband and i both in our 60s have just spent 2 weeks in this hotel guests of thomsons.Things went wrong at once,we were dropped off by the thomson bus ,left on our own late at night.We went to reception only to be told they have no record of our booking,after showing all our paper work they agreed to let us stay.Next morning we were shocked to find hundreds of german students about 20 years of age had take over the hotel what a nightmare.We were unable to use the bar as the student were 10 deep getting very drunk and the antics were disgraceful.We soon found the pool was a no go area for us as again drunk students were every where causing lots of trouble.There were very few english there and the notice boards were not in english.We had no rep,no welcome pack,no welcome meeting and we didnt know how to contact thomsons.We were there a week before we found out the restraunt opened at lunch time and we could use other hotels bars and facilities.The noise at night was unbelievable with shouting ,yelling going on until the early hours of the morning. we never slept for the whole 2 weeks. This was our worst holiday experiance ever.

this hotel is advertised for families ye they have a mini disco at night and the reps at night were great with the kids but unfortunatly there was a lack of comunication betweeen the kids clubs reps durin the day. my little girl was in playin on her own one day and the reps sat up on the work top and spoke to each other. my dad had booked in to a single room this room was like a cell in a jail there was no room to swing a cat. im not sure if it was the time of year was wrong but this hotel was the base for a football tournement that was on so you could imagine the noise with boys age between 10 and upwards.to top it all off there was a club 20 rep from germany with bout 500 germans who a night could not keep the noise down between slaming doors and runnin up and down the corridors yet when we arrived the security gard watched us goin in to our rooms. in a good note the dinnin staff were very friendly towards myself and my family. i dont think i will be back to this hotel in a hurry
