The WORST HOTEL on the entire planet!!

Well where do I begin...this has to be the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. To the people who have posted that they have had a great stay, well they must live under a filthy rock as this hotel is an absolute dump.
I am a frequent business & vacation traveller so I have seen all kinds of hotels all over the world, however, this facility does not even meet third world standards.
First issue, upon entering the hotel the small glass overhang over the doors is covered in bird droppings and filth. Broken beer bottles were all over the parking lot in front of the hotel's main enterance.
Once you get in the rooms well that's were the disgustingness really gets going. A co-worker's room was so filthy I would not even allow a dog to sleep in it. In fact I would sooner sleep at my dog's kennel it is a 5 star facility, compared to the Regina Inn. The rug at the Regina Inn was absolutely filthy with HUGE stains (looked like a rug from a crime scene), the walls were filthy with dirt and grime. As far as the bed... well upon pulling back the covers the sheets were covered in hair (and not the kind off someone's head), and there were "chunks" of something, we are not sure what, all over the bed.
As they were fully booked they could not offer my co-worker another room, all they could do was have housekeeping change the bedding. Even housekeeping said the room was in horrible condition.
After me calling to the front desk and explaining that this was an unacceptable situation, they finally managed to find a room and relocate my co-worker. The front desk manager I have to say was accomodating.
The fun did not stop there though. After being at a conference all day and returning to my room at 10pm, I returned to find a plumbing leak had flooded my room, the hotel did not have another room to put me in so I had to sit in my room while a whole a plumbing job took place, and I had a flight to catch at 5am.
This hotel has major wear & tear, infrastructure issues, cleanliness issues etc. They need to tear it down and rebuild.
I would never stay here again, you could not pay me to stay here.
The owners need to wake up and get a clue and deal with the issues the property has and put some money into it and fix it, but I think its too far gone and just needs to be torn down and rebuilt.
Before I forget, when we arrived there was also an Abel Pest Control Exterminator parked right outside the main entrance, I can only imagine what they were trying to get rid of in this inn of filth.
If I had the option of checking into another hotel I would have, but every other hotel was fully booked.

I have stayed at the Regina Inn multiple times over 7 years on business. We used to conduct lots of meetings there and were treated really well in the past.
That has since changed. Not only are we not treated well, it seems as if they do not know how to run a hotel anymore. There are some staff members that are awesome, but they seem to work in the restaraunt only. The front desk staff are Horrible! They are slow, and do not seem to care about problems. I even had one try to pick a fight with me.
My main concern this trip is with the facility itself. I got to my room on the 14th floor and found a terrible little bed. I have stayed in better beds at the lake! Not a huge deal, but not what I remembered for sure. I got into bed and went to sleep only to be awoken at 2am by a large bettle crawling across my back. I managed to get back to sleep and asked for a new room in the morning. I told them what had happened, and they switched my room, but there was no concern shown at all! They then sent a basket of fruit and cheese to my room as a welcome - and it was mouldy!
The new room was on the 15th floor - the so called executive suite...what a joke. The bed was not much better than the other one - at least there were no bugs.
Oh, and although I have had a standing order of a fridge and a humidifier in the room on my file for years, I had to ask for it when I checked in and it took 45 minutes to get the fridge - and 4 calls. This was at 10 at night, and all I wanted to do was sleep, but my milk needed to be in the fridge so I waited!
Overall, one of the worst hotels I have ever been to, and I travel in Canada a lot for work. I will never go back.

I stayed at the hotel on business on April 12th. From the time I checked into the hotel to the time I left it was incredible. I have never received such great service from a hotel. I stayed on the 9th floor. The guestrooms were very quiet and very clean. I really enjoy the spaciousness of the guestrooms. I had read in another review the guestrooms were not clean, but that person must have had bad luck becuase where I stayed it smelled fresh and clean. I really enjoyed the bed a the Regina Inn, it was comfortable and I for once had a good night sleep in a hotel. It was also nice to see their great selection for room service. I was impressed that it was reasonably priced with a great selection. I will definitely be back! The staff was so friendly, always smiling and willing to answer questions.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past year while in business in Regina. Every time, I have found it to be a pleasant experience at the minimum. The building is old, so there are some quirks to the place that might not be to everyone's liking--I've had trouble with the heat more than once, and the elevators are really slow--but the staff does everything they can to more than make up for it.
Things I liked:
Friendly staff - many even remembered my name even after not seeing me for 6 months.
The lobby cafe - tasty food at fair prices. The Sunday buffet brunch was really good.
Suite upgrades - I was upgraded to a much larger and nicer room often.
Balcony - every room has its own sliding door and balcony overlooking the city.
Things I didn't like:
The age of the hotel - see above.
The railings on the balcony - I would not want to trust my weight on the old concrete rails - especially on the 15th floor!
The neighborhood - the front of the hotel is at the edge of downtown and pleasant enough, but the back of the hotel marks the boundary of the 'hood. I always felt safe in the hotel, but some of the people around were a little sketchy.
Overall, I would (and have) return here again. At an average rate of $90, it is an excellent value for the money.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel at a fabulous rate. The corner room we has was nicely decorated and it was very quiet.
The hotel is well located downtown and you can call the local casino from the hotel and they will send a free shuttle to pick you up.
Our only complaint was the service at breakfast. It was dreadfully slow in spite of the fact there were plenty of staff on. The other downside was on Sunday. They have a brunch, which looked fabulous, however, if you don't have a large appetite (like me) and don't want to spend $16 for breakfast, you have to leave the hotel to eat.
Our stay overall was a very pleasant one.
