Friendly staff & very clean

I came into S'toon to watch the Foo Fighters, when I rolled into the hotel lobby with my luggage, the man behind the counter was so friendly and helpful... I felt like I was very special. He asked me what floor I wanted to sleep on and what "end" of the hotel I would like. He then told me to help myself to cookies or fruit (all free of charge) and to check out the breakfast in the morning as it's just "excellent".
I had such a nice relaxing time there... I will go again.
This place isn't, in my opinion, a place for kids as they don't have a pool... but it was a quality place to stay for someone who just needs a quiet clean friendly place to lay their head for the night.
Could be better.

The room was spacious, the staff was great and it was quiet, however the rooms are ready for an update.

We stayed at this hotel this past week.. ( $149 /night) Room on the 7th floor was really nice, clean, quiet, and good view, but water takes forever to get you a decent amount in the tub. We had a great sleep on a bed that I now realize was extremely comfortable. Internet service for a laptop requires a Telus hookup and charge, unlike almost every other hotels in Saskatoon that provide internet (wireless or cable) free. I won't stay here again because of this alone, but it gets better.
Same staff at the front desk all afternoon and evening, and then back again at 8 a.m.. Service really slow in restaurant, plus the food was not very good.. a lady at another table told us that the previous evening she simply could not eat the food they served her. By the size of her I was quite sure that she gets a lot of practice eating and would know how whatever she had ordered should look and taste like. Order of dry ribs in the lounge had a few good ones and about 80% were about the size of a faba bean, with the majority of it the breading.. Awful.
Appears they don't have enough staff, either unable to find or too cheap to hire more. Service in the lounge was great though. About 10 customers and 2 staff guaranteed excellent service.
ATM machine (there's only one) in the lobby was empty.. They actually have a pre-printed sign that they put up that says to go to the hotel across the street if you need cash. ATM was down when we got there and still not filled when we left. Waitress in the bar says it's always like that. I think that speaks to the management of the place more than anything.

My wife, son, and I stayed at the Saskatoon Inn as an over-nighter to catch an early plane the next day. Like many of the reviews about this hotel, we found the rooms to be very dirty.
When we first entered our room, we were overcome with a strong "cologne" or "after shave" like smell. After a few minutes, we all felt a little nauseated. We complained to the front desk who sent up a housekeeping person. She claimed she could not smell anything different. They moved us to a different room across the hall which smelled a lot better. However, we found hair and toe nail clippings beside the night table - yuck! Another call to housekeeping corrected the problem. However, it made me wonder what other corners were being cut in the room cleaning process.
My parents were also with us in another room. They found stains beside the bed. My dad inquired at the front desk about them and after some pressing insistance on his part, the clerk admitted the 4th floor was a pet floor. I will leave you to guess what the carpet stain was! My guess is the strong cologne smell in our first room was to mask unpleasant odors.
I would avoid this hotel. However if you do stay there, do not stay on the 4th floor! As of the date of this writing, the 4th floor is the only pet floor.

I have to say the rooms are very dirty at this hotel. The bathroom was particularly bad. Every wall had dirty fingerprints on it and I had stains all over my carpet. I had to wear shoes to feel comfortable. I also had dirty bedsheets that had a strange odour.
They need to update their bathrooms and clean out all the grungy stuff.
I ordered a sandwich from room service that came with RAW bacon on it. Not under cooked, but totally Raw! Needless to say I got a refund, but that is just not right.
I definitely will not stay here again and will warn other not to as well.
