Fine hotel, albeit not in Old Town

The standard rooms were very pleasant, although the beds were a bit narrow. Fine for us Europeans but Americans who are used to huge double beds for single use should undertake a mindshift.
The rooms were equipped with computers (free internet included although I didn't use it for fear of having someone hack into my e-mail accounts but maybe this was unwarranted and has nothing to do with the hotel) and coffee makers.
The bathroom was a pleasant size and disposed of shower soap but not a hairdryer. However, this could be obtained from the front desk which is fine.
The staff was singularly helpful and answered all of our questions patiently and accurately, despite being under considerable pressure as we were there on a busy week-end.
Breakfast was ok but nothing amazing but that seems to be the way it is in Baltic hotels of this standard. In any case, food is so cheap and so yummy in the ciy that you can always nip in for a top up somewhere in town. Tired business travelers might opt to eat tat the hotel in their smart dining room or the more casual Brazilian downstairs but unfortunately, I cannot give an opinion on either of these as we always ate in town.
The location of the hotel is fine. Depending on where you want to go in the Old Town, it is a straightforward 10-15 min walk away. I and my fellow traveler (2 women) walked home even late at night. Endlo Street gets a bit deserted at night so maybe single women might want to opt for the bus.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel. they also have another hotel somehwere else but which also seemed to be in a decent location.

Had a great stay in this hotel! Rooms were not huge, but perfectly adequate - double room consisted of twin beds, but we pushed them together, and they were subsequently made up the following morning using double sheets etc, which was a nice touch.
Breakfast was great - good choice and plenty of it.
As mentioned by other reviewers, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the Old Town, so it's no distance, and is an easy walk.
Free internet access in every bedroom was a major plus and not something usually found, so much appreciated!
Didn't try the sauna so can't comment on that - but it is free in the mornings, provided you book it.
Had dinner here one evening too and it was tasty and reasonably priced.
All in all, a good choice!

Stayed here after reading reviews on Trip advisor. The hotel is situated approximately 10 minute walk from old town. Everything about the stay - the hotel and the City was excellent. The room - a single was a good size and had tea making facilities which is a rarity in European hotels. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The breakfast each morning was plenty to last though to an evening meal. Plenty of choice and with snow around all the time i was there the porridge was most welcoming. A tram stop is just yards from the hotel if you don't fancy the ten minute walk to the centre

This hotel provides exactly what it offers: a friendly, comfortable, clean and warm stay for those looking for value.
The room is basic, but offers a modern and bright environment.
The free internet facility was particluarly useful in planning trips, checking exchange rates, and keeping up with news at home.
Breakfast offered a wide choice.
The staff were friendly and courteous and the reception staff very helpful.
The hotel's location is within easy walking distance of the city centre (both old and new), and I found the city safe to walk around at all hours.
I would definitely stay again.

There are only 2 negative comments I can make about this hotel and even those are not that bad.
1) We had booked a double but none left so we had to cosy on down in a single bed. Hotel staff offered to change the room in 2 days time but not worth it as we were only there for 4 days.
2) Went to use the sauna/tub and found there to be empty vodka and beer bottles everywhere, so did not use it in the end.
The room was excellent - spacious, very clean, great tv if you are British as mostly English speaking channels, quiet even though they were renovating outside when we were there and the breakfast was great - lots of choice and good for veggies too. A liitle walk from the town centre, but you can't have everything when you pay what we did.
