I've stayed this hotel only for one night. Hotel is in a business district called Mecidiyekoy. Just near the stadium of Galatasaray football team. There's a lot of traffic, so even that the glasses are very thick. You can hear the noise coming from the street. Rooms are not very big. I think this hotel doesn't suit with the Divan Hotels quality.

Have stayed several times at the Divan City Hotel and will also return the next time I am in Istanbul as it is clean, effiecient and close to business contacts.
As stated in other reviews, the hotel is situated in the financial district of Istanbul so there are no historic or cultural sites close by. Furthermore it is right next to a very high-traffic road so I would not recommend this hotel to tourists looking for a nice, cosy place to stay for a holiday.
That said, the hotel works very well. The staff are very good, the breakfast great, the basement gym is very adequate for my needs and the overall chic and modern look of the hotel works for me.

Me and my wife stayed at Divan City last summer ( 2006). We've never stayed on this side of Istanbul so we realy didn't know what to expect. Divan City is located in the finance district in Istanbul so if you are looking for some cultural and historical places, you should look for a hotel in the old city of Istanbul., not Divan City.
The hotel is very closed to the shopping malls, like Kanyon, Metro City, Akmerkez etc. Take a taxi and it will not cost more than 5-7 TRY.
The Sisli metro station is about 5 minutes from the hotel by foot. From Sisli station to Taksim, it will take you another 10 minutes.
The hotel has a very modern furnishing. Our room was on the 9th floor with a big nice bed. The room and the bath room was very clear. The hotel stuff was helpful and proffesional (I guess they have be when Divan City is a business hotel). The breakfast buffet was not the biggest one but very tasty.
We can recommend Divan City for you guys who have been in Istanbul before and don't need to see all the historical places. Good value for your money.

I went to Divan City at the beginning of November 2006. The hotel is pretty small, new and located closely to the business district Levent, close to Bosphorus bridge but far away from tourist attractions. The check in took 3 minutes, the staff was friendly. The room was not very big but very nice furnished and perfectly cleaned. The breakfast buffet was good. Check out was very fast, too. An ideal place for a stay during a business trip.
