Later, the bastide was acquired by the Saint Sauveur Cathedral of Aix and took on religious functions until the 17th century when the Bastide was transformed into a hospital, a shelter for victims of the epidemics which ravaged Europe at the time. Ruin... renovation, the ancient Bastide has become a nice residence welcoming business guests, tourists and admirers of Aix-en-Provence.
