Very dirty, a bit disgusting, but expensive!

The building was old, but on first glance not too bad. We paid top dollar, almost $300 a night for the room with the small kitchen.
The carpet was dirty and stained. The towels were grey looking, and were very thin, these towels were old and should have been tossed a long time ago.
The worst was the bed. One blanket was falling apart it was so old. Another blanket had a black stain on it and looked like a car had burned rubber on it in the parking lot, then they put it back on our bed. One of the towels had a similiar black stain on it also. The comforter had blood stains on it - gross.
There's no excuse for this kind of dirty stuff that can easily be replaced. They were using items that were far past their lifetime.
Just to be fair - there was one nice item. While it was full, this place was very quiet at night.
I'd never stay there again. However, with a simple replacement of towels, sheets, blankets, comforter, and a clean carpet - it would be a nice place.

It was perfect! Me & my boyfriend stayed in room 101, it was the nicest place I have ever stayed in. It had a beautiful kitchen, a dining room, and living room, two bathrooms, one with a sink in tub and a shower built for two! Their was two flat screen TV's a fireplace that could be seen in the living room and bedroom. Beautifully furnished, the bed was so comfy I never wanted to leave. Not to mention an amazing location, walking distance to the grocery store, local shops, the casinos, and the beach. I will definitely be going back to this resort!

Tahoe is not a cheap place to stay, so I guess for the price we paid Forest Suites Resort was good. $159 thru AAA before taxes. Normally I would expect to pay around $50-$70 for this type room. But location, supply and demand. They have different types of rooms, suites, kitchenettes and really basic motel type rooms. We had the basic room. Breakfast is included. The rooms are clean. The airconditioning barely worked, so we slept with the window open, which basically meant we were sleeping with the door open.
The up side is the location. It is right in Heavenly Village. The Gondola went right over our room. Everything is right there. We could stumble home from the casinos. They had 2 heated pools, and one of the pools had a bar. I think if you stayed in one of the kitchenettes or in the main lodge area it would be nicer. I would stay here again, but probably not in one of the Motel type rooms.

I had a meeting in Tahoe, and my husband decided to go along for a little quiet time from our four kids, work and trying to finish building a home. It was awesome. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were terrific. Very clean and comfortable. It was hard to decide to stay in our room, or to go out and see Lake Tahoe because they both were amazing. It was so great, on the ride back to the airport I was calling and bragging to my family and friends how awesome of a place Forest Suites Resort was, and Lake Tahoe. I will definately be visiting Forest Suites Resort and Lake Tahoe again!

I stayed at the Forest Suite Resort in April and it was great. The room was clean and comfortable and the location within Tahoe is superb. Praise to the staff who were some of the friendliest I met on my trip to the United States. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to friends and family.
