We spent 2 nights here as part of a large tour group. It was an oasis to us, having stayed a two disappointing hotels previously. The rooms were large and very comfortable and luxuriously furnished. Lovely marble bathrooms with bidets and separate showers. There was no noise from adjoining rooms or traffic, although an accidental fire alarm on the first night nearly gave me a heart attack! Excellent breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs and croissants to die for! Well situated to some good restaurants and shopping areas.

If you are looking for a luxurious stay then this is the place for you. Beautiful hotel five minutes walk from the city centre. The suites are enormous and beautifully appointed. Hotel also has a bar and restaurant. Neither of which are above average though. But in this city there is no shortage of good bars and restaurants. For a romantic meal try Piegari, one of the best places in BA. Broccolini is also worth a visit.

This lovely property is in a wonderful, quiet, and excellent location within 1 block of many well-known restaurants and exclusive shops. (Much like upper Madison Avenue in NYC) The Hotel was fantastic from the moment we arrived at 7AM after a long overnight flight and they let us check in right away. The normal check in time is 3:00pm and we were worried as to what we would do until then. No concern at Emperador. I was so impressed by how friendly and thorough this hotel's employees were that I made it a point to compliment them while I was checking out. The concierge was really great and pointed us in the perfect direction for tours and great places to eat in Buenos Aires The service was flawless and consistent throughout our stay. Breakfast was included and very good with a great variety of selections. Everyone who works at the Emperador treats you like you are their only guest. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. If I ever come back to Buenos Aires I will stay here. And we fell in love with the city in part because of the hotel.

Other reviews of this hotel have commented negatively about the front desk experience. It is true that this level of hotel should provide better doorman service, as well as a more efficient front desk. However, my husband and I have now stayed there three times, and experienced travelers will not find it as wanting as some others. For example, we had an outstanding experience with guest services, who reserved all of our dinners for us at our request before we arrived. There were multiple follow-ups to make sure everything was working out well, and a change in one evening's plans was handled efficiently and to our great satisfaction. We find that our room in this hotel is larger and superior to many other hotels in this class. The location is also excellent, and convenient to many things, particularly shopping. All in all, we definitely would return and recommend to our friends.

La Empereador is located in a very good location in Buenos Aires. It is in the Recoleta area which has wonderful shopping. We traveled here this December with my two daughters and husband. We were given connecting rooms with a view of The Rio Plata. The rooms are very spacious. They were extremely comfortable. I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly. While it is more of a business type hotel, I felt very comfortable.
